CTS™ RevitaCell™ Supplement (100X)

CTS RevitaCell Supplement (100X) is a cGMP-manufactured, animal origin-free, chemically defined supplement that is used with pluripotent stem cells (PSCs), either as a post-thaw recovery solution to improve cell viability or in combination with CTS Essential 8 Medium to enhance single cell passaging applications. CTS RevitaCell Supplement reduces the burden in qualifying reagents when transitioning from the research bench to the clinic.

Simplifies transition from bench to clinic
Like the RUO RevitaCell Supplement, the CTS RevitaCell Supplement maximizes cell viability post-single cell passaging and yields high post-thaw cell viability and growth of pluripotent stem cells. Both the RUO and CTS RevitaCell supplements include a ROCK inhibitor that has higher specificity than the traditional inhibitors, coupled with molecules containing antioxidant and free radical scavenger properties that minimize the impact of stress on the cells. With its additional safety testing, including adventitious agents, CTS RevitaCell Supplement enables a smooth transition from RUO RevitaCell Supplement.

CultureOne™ Supplement (100X) (Gibco™)

CultureOne Supplement is a chemically-defined, serum-free supplement designed to significantly improve the differentiation of neural stem cells (NSCs) to neurons. Compared to conventional differentiation methods where NSCs can overgrow and become burdensome, CultureOne Supplement eliminates more than 75% of contaminating neural progenitor cells with minimal cell death and no effect on other kinase-mediated pathways. The resulting superior neuronal cell cultures of evenly distributed, differentiated neurons enable improved downstream assays, accelerated neuronal maturation, and seamless maintenance for five weeks or more.

Each vial of CultureOne Supplement contains a 100X 5-mL liquid reagent that can be added easily to any conventional neuronal differentiation medium, such as Neurobasal Medium with B-27 Supplements. After two weeks of differentiation with CultureOne Supplement, the supplement can be removed and the resulting cultures will contain considerably fewer progenitor cells for five weeks or more.

Improved downstream assays
Analysis of NSC-derived neurons can be difficult due to the presence of overgrown progenitor cells in the culture. These invasive cells can make imaging and electrophysiology experiments challenging and call into question the physiological relevance of gene expression assays. CultureOne Supplement reduces proliferating progenitor cells, giving you a cleaner and more relevant neuronal cell population, which significantly improves the assay experience and outcome.

Accelerated maturation of differentiated neurons
With CultureOne Supplement, NSC-derived neurons express mature physiological markers faster and develop longer neurites than untreated NSC-derived neuronal cultures. CultureOne Supplement-treated neurons also express significantly higher numbers of voltage gated calcium ion channels, which are an important marker for neural maturity and excitability.

Longer culture of NSC-derived neurons
For experiments that require NSC-derived neurons to mature for long periods of time, CultureOne Supplement seamlessly enables maintenance of enriched, differentiated neurons for five weeks or longer. By contrast, conventional differentiation methods result in proliferating neural progenitor cells, which tend to clump and cause the culture to peel off of the plate.

The supplement can be added to 1X media such as CD Hybridoma and filtered with minimal loss of lipids. Tryptose Phosphate Broth

Gibco® Tryptose Phosphate Broth is a cell culture supplement for BHK-21 cells used for vaccine production. Tryptose Phosphate Broth contains tryptose (an enzymatic hydrolysis of protein), dextrose, sodium chloride and disodium phosphate.

HepExtend™ Supplement (50X) (Gibco™)

HepExtend™ Supplement (50X) has been optimized for use with cryopreserved primary hepatocytes to improve cell viability, function, and number of days in culture. This enables researchers to perform metabolic and toxicity experiments not achievable using standard culture conditions. Simply add HepExtend™ Supplement to standard William’s E Hepatocyte Maintenance Media and use with your current hepatocyte culturing methods and instrumentation. The supplement does not contain any small molecules or fetal bovine serum, components that are known to interfere with primary hepatocyte function.

• Enabling—designed to provide maximum cell viability and cell health when culturing primary plateable hepatocytes
• Extended cell survival—days in culture can be extended to >10 days while maintaining normal cell morphology and bile canaliculi
