The unique tank design enables convenient side-by-side gel loading and enhanced viewing during use. Optimized conditions using constant voltage allow for Bolt® Bis-Tris Plus gels to be run in approximately 35 minutes. Run times may vary depending on buffer conditions and power supplies being used.

About Bolt® Bis-Tris Plus Gels
Bolt® Bis-Tris Plus gels are precast polyacrylamide gels designed for optimal separation of your small- to medium-sized proteins under denaturing conditions. Similar to NuPAGE® Bis-Tris gels, Bolt® Bis-Tris Plus gels are designed to deliver consistent gel performance and provide a neutral pH environment that minimizes protein modifications. Bolt® gels are ideal for western blot transfer and analysis, and any other techniques where protein integrity is crucial. Also use Bolt® gels to obtain optimal results for your day-to-day protein separation needs. Bolt® Bis-Tris Plus gels come in four g types and multiple well formats. Each box contains 10 gels.

About the iBlot® 2 Gel Transfer Device
The iBlot® 2 Gel Transfer Device is our second-generation dry-transfer device, providing the same speed and convenience as the original iBlot® device, but with many new features. The iBlot® 2 Gel Transfer Device performs western blotting transfer simply, efficiently, and reliably, within seven minutes or less, and without the need for liquid buffers. The iBlot® 2 Gel Transfer Device is an integral part of the iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System, which consists of the transfer device and consumable transfer stacks that contain the required buffers and transfer membrane (nitrocellulose or PVDF).

Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels are designed to deliver consistent gel performance and provide a neutral pH environment that minimizes protein modifications. Bolt gels are ideal for western blot transfer and analysis, and any other techniques where protein integrity is crucial. Also use Bolt gels to obtain optimal results for your day-to-day protein separation needs. Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels come in four polyacrylamide concentrations: 8, 10, 12, and 4-12% gradient and multiple well formats. Bolt Bis-Tris gels feature wedge-shaped wells, which can easily load up to two times more sample volume allowing for detection of proteins in very dilute samples or visualization of low-abundance proteins.

For transferring your proteins to a membrane, we recommend using for Bolt Transfer Buffer for traditional wet transfer using the Mini Blot Module. Alternatively, rapid semi-dry transfer can be done using the Invitrogen Power Blotter or rapid dry transfer using the iBlot 2 Gel Transfer Device.

ZOOM™ IPGRunner™ Retrofit Kit

The ZOOM® IPGRunner™ System is the first system to offer oil-free, trouble-free 2D electrophoresis in a mini-gel format. First dimension separation isoelectric focusing (IEF) is complete in less than three hours. The mini-gel design of the system is easy to handle, eliminates mineral oil overlays, and allows processing of up to 12 samples at once for high-throughput usage.

The ZOOM® IPGRunner™ System consists of three main components:

• The ZOOM® IPGRunner™ Mini-Cell
. (Figure 1) includes a high-voltage electrophoresis core and lid assembly that fits a mini-cell chamber identical to the XCell SureLock™ mini-cell. The mini-cell holds two ZOOM® IPGRunner™ Cassettes.
The ZOOM® IPGRunner™ Cassettes (Figure 2) are provided ready to use and self-contained, eliminating oil overlays for convenient sample rehydration and IEF. Each cassette holds up to six ZOOM® Strips.
The ZOOM® Strips are 7 cm long and contain a thin layer of polyacrylamide gel that includes a fixed pH gradient. Each ZOOM® Strip is clearly labeled with a unique identifying number, pH range, and orientation marks (Figure 3). ZOOM® Strips are supplied attached to a tri-fold card (Figure 4) for easy access and removal.

Quick and Simple Set-up Procedure
Figure 5 demonstrates how easy and fast it is to load samples and set up the ZOOM® IPGRunner™ System for IEF. Once IEF is complete, the ZOOM® IPGRunner™ Mini-Cell can be used with NuPAGE® and Novex® ZOOM® gels to complete SDS-PAGE analysis in 40 minutes.

E-Holder™ Platform (Invitrogen™)

The E-Holder™ platform is designed with a spring-loaded mechanism to ensure that the E-Gel® 96 and E-Gel® 48 gel cassettes stay firmly in place during robotic loading. This allows reproducible placement and loading from one gel to the next without having to make adjustments to the robot loading software. About Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format
Novex Tris-Glycine mini gels are polyacrylamide gels based on traditional Laemmli protein electrophoresis, allowing the use of Laemmli sample and running buffers. They enable consistent performance and separation of a wide range of proteins into well-resolved bands. Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format, have innovative wedge-shaped wells that allow up to two times more sample load volume than other 1.0 mm-thick gels. The wedge-shaped wells also have larger openings, making sample loading easier.

For transferring your proteins to a membrane, we recommend using for Novex Tris-Glycine Native Running Buffer or Novex Tris-Glycine Transfer Buffer for traditional wet transfer using the Mini Blot Module. XCell4 SureLock™ Midi-Cell (Invitrogen™)

The XCell4 SureLock Midi-Cell is a midi-gel electrophoresis system that allows you to quickly and easily perform simultaneous vertical electrophoresis of 1–4 midi gels. The Midi-Cell is built with tough polycarbonate to boost durability and features a specially designed lid to enhance user safety. The Midi-Cell is designed to dissipate heat effectively and evenly and ensure high-resolution results when using Invitrogen midi gels (8.7 cm x 13.3 cm).

Easy to use—simple assembly and operation for ultimate in ease of use. A single SureLock actuator seals all gels while allowing for zero force insertion and easy positioning for sample loading.

How the system works
The XCell4 SureLock Midi-Cell consists of a lower buffer chamber, two buffer cores, a lid with cables, a displacement dam, and a buffer dam. Electrophoresis of proteins on midi-gels in the XCell4 SureLock Midi-Cell is performed after assembling the buffer core with two midi-gels or one midi-gel and one buffer dam. The buffer core/gel assembly is inserted into the lower buffer chamber using a positive locking mechanism that seals the buffer core/gel assembly firmly into position and ensures leak-free electrophoresis. The buffer core/gel assembly creates separate upper buffer chambers for each gel and a common lower buffer chamber shared by all gels. The lid is placed onto the Midi-Cell, fitting in only one direction.

The Midi-Cell holds gels firmly with a simple gel tension wedge. When the lever on the gel tension wedge is pushed forward into the locked position, an even horizontal force is generated. This seals the gel/buffer core assembly firmly into position in the lower buffer chamber. The positive locking action of the gel tension wedge ensures a trouble-free, leak-free gel run every time.
