Power Blotter Station (Invitrogen™)

The Invitrogen Power Blotter Station is a power supply with touchscreen user interface for semi-dry transfer of proteins from gel to membrane when used with Power Blotter Cassette or Power Blotter Cassette XL. About the iBlot® 2 Gel Transfer Device
The iBlot® 2 Gel Transfer Device is our second generation dry transfer device, providing the same speed and convenience as the original iBlot® device, but with many new features. The iBlot® 2 Gel Transfer Device performs western blotting transfer simply, efficiently, and reliably, within seven minutes or less, and without the need for liquid buffers. The iBlot® 2 Gel Transfer Device is an integral part of the iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System, which consists of the transfer device and consumable transfer stacks that contain the required buffers and transfer membrane (nitrocellulose or PVDF).

Novex™ Semi-Dry Blotter (Invitrogen™)

The Novex® Semi-Dry Blotter quickly and efficiently transfers proteins and nucleic acids from mini and midi gels to membranes. Simultaneous transfer can be achieved from up to 2 midi gels, 4 mini gels, or 2 E-PAGE™ gels. The Novex® Semi-Dry Blotter is designed for fast set-up and ease of use. How the system works
The XCell SureLock Mini-Cell holds gels firmly with a simple gel tension wedge. When the lever on the gel tension wedge is pushed forward into the locked position, an even, horizontal force is generated. This seals the gel/buffer core assembly firmly into position in the lower buffer chamber. The positive locking action of the gel tension wedge ensures a trouble-free, leak-free gel run every time.

XCell II Blot Module
The XCell II Blot Module allows you to easily transfer proteins or nucleic acids from mini gels to membranes. It fits into the XCell SureLock and XCell II Mini-Cells in place of the gel/buffer core assembly. It requires less than 200 mL of transfer buffer for western, southern, and northern transfers. Tough platinized titanium and stainless steel electrodes create a uniform electrical field without clamps or hinged gel holders. Maximum blot size is 9 cm x 9 cm.

Upgrade your XCell II to an XCell SureLock Mini-Cell
Conversion of an XCell II into an XCell SureLock is easy with the SureLock Retrofit Kit (available separately). The kit consists of a SureLock mini-cell lid, gel tension wedge, and molded mini-gel buffer dam.

BenchPro™ 4100 Western Card (Invitrogen™)

The BenchPro™ 4100 Western Card is a disposable, single-use card that is inserted into the slot on top of the BenchPro™ 4100 Card Processing Station. Developed for immunodetection, the card holds the membrane to be processed in a Blot Holder. During operation, reagents are pumped from reagent bottles and vials located in the reagent tray, into the card and around the membrane. The order of reagents used and timing of protocol steps are based on the protocol selected.

iBlot™ 2 and iBind™ Western Starter Kit (Invitrogen™)

The iBlot 2 Gel Transfer Device is an integral part of the iBlot 2 Dry Blotting system, which consists of the transfer device and consumable transfer stacks that contain the required buffers and transfer membrane.

iBind Western Device
The iBind Western Device is an automated western-processing device that performs every step in the western protocol from blocking to washes to antibody incubations via sequential lateral flow (SLF). SLF allows the timely release and flow of solutions and antibodies to the membrane without need of an external power source. Each solution is released from the iBind device wells to an iBind Card via SLF; the solutions are then wicked towards the stack region of the card. The glass fiber matrix of the card allows for homogenous and consistent flow of the solutions to the membrane, increasing the antigen-antibody interaction. The iBind western detection procedure minimizes hands-on time and is highly reproducible and compatible with all western protocols. Set up time is fast: in less than 3 hours you are ready for the detection step.

The Bolt® Western Pack (Nitrocellulose) includes two Mini Blot Modules and all of the buffers and pre-cut membrane/filter paper sandwiches you will need for the wet transfer of proteins from Bolt® Bis-Tris Plus gels to nitrocellulose membranes. Each pack contains:

About the Mini Blot Module
The Mini Blot Module is a wet transfer device used exclusively with the Mini Gel Tank. The tank accommodates one blot module per chamber, or two blot modules total with the side-by-side layout. The Mini Blot Module is compatible with Bolt® Bis-Tris Plus gels and accommodates one gel per wet transfer. The universal connection and molded gasket make the blot module easy to use, while the inner core of the blot module allows for use of less methanol-based transfer buffer per wet transfer. At the recommended conditions and constant voltage, proteins can be transferred to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes typically in 30 to 60 minutes.

iBlot™ 2 Gel Transfer Device

The iBlot 2 Gel Transfer Device is a dry transfer device that performs western blotting transfer efficiently and reliably, within seven minutes, and without the need for liquid buffers. How the iBlot 2 Dry Blotting System works
Buffer ion reservoirs are incorporated into the gel matrix of transfer stacks instead of buffer tanks or soaked papers. The high density of ions in the gel matrix enables rapid protein transfer. During blotting, the copper anode does not generate oxygen gas as a result of water electrolysis, reducing blot distortion (conventional protein transfer techniques, including wet, semi-wet, and semi-dry, use inert electrodes that generate oxygen). With the iBlot 2 Dry Blotting System, transfer time is reduced by the shortened distance between electrodes, high field strength, and high current. Trapped air bubbles, often created during the manual preparation of the blotting sandwich layers, are easy to avoid due to our unique de-bubbling design that promotes even and complete transfer. With the iBlot 2 system, there is no need to prepare buffers, pre-treat your gel, or clean up after blotting. The total preparation and run time is normally less than ten minutes per blot.
