PureLink™ HiPure Plasmid Filter Midiprep Kit (Invitrogen™)

The PureLink® HiPure Plasmid Filter Midiprep Kit is designed to isolate plasmid DNA of the highest purity from 25 to 100 mL of an overnight bacterial culture. How it works
The addition of a HiPure Filter Column to the PureLink® HiPure Plasmid Kits provides rapid clearing of the bacterial lysate without the need for centrifugation (see figure). The lysate filtration cartridge is integrated into the DNA-binding column for a combined step of lysate clarification and plasmid DNA binding directly to the anion-exchange resin. A single column wash removes impurities such as RNA, proteins, metabolites, and other low molecular weight molecules; the ultrapure plasmid DNA is then eluted with a high-salt buffer. The DNA is then desalted and concentrated with an isopropanol precipitation step, then collected by centrifugation. The entire protocol can be completed in about two hours.

PureLink™ PCR Micro Kit (Invitrogen™)

PureLink® PCR Micro Kits are ideal for purifying and concentrating DNA from low-yielding PCR or restriction digestion reactions. These highly purified DNA fragments and amplicons provide excellent results in downstream applications such as DNA sequencing, restriction digestion, cloning, PCR, and labeling. PureLink® PCR Micro Kits provide a simple and rapid method for purifying and concentrating DNA fragments ranging in size from 100 bp-12 Kb. The unique micro-nozzle design allows up to 95% recovery of DNA fragments with as little as a 5 µl elution volume. With less than a 10% coefficient of variance in the elution volume you can be sure that no ethanol is carried over from the wash steps giving you the best chance of success in downstream applications. Removal of primers, dNTPs, enzymes, and salts exceeds 98.5%. This kit can also efficiently remove unincorporated dye-labeled nucleotides from a cDNA labeling reaction.

This MicroSEQ® ID Purification Combo Kit includes reagents for post-PCR and post-sequencing steps in the MicroSEQ® ID microbial identification workflow. It contains 3 tubes of ExoSAP-IT® Reagent for PCR clean-up and two 96-well MicroSEQ® ID Sequencing Cleanup Plates.

ExoSAP-IT® Reagent: this reagent is used for quick post-PCR clean-up for downstream applications such as sequencing. It allows for removal of unconsumed dNTPs and primers remaining in the PCR mix following amplification.

PureLink™ HiPure Plasmid Maxiprep Kit (Invitrogen™)

The PureLink® HiPure Plasmid Maxiprep Kit is designed to isolate transfection-grade plasmid DNA from E. coli. The Maxiprep Kit protocol will typically yield 500–850 µg plasmid DNA from 100–200 mL bacterial culture, at a purity that is comparable to that achieved by two passes through cesium chloride gradients. Contaminant-free DNA
Unlike cesium chloride gradient protocols, PureLink® HiPure Plasmid Purification Systems do not use organic solvents, ethidium bromide, or cesium chloride, all of which are troublesome to work with and to dispose of. Typically, plasmid DNA prepared using the PureLink® HiPure Plasmid Midiprep Kit will have an A260/A280 ratio of >1.80, indicating that the DNA is reasonably free of proteins that might interfere with downstream applications. Endotoxin levels are typically within 0.1–1 EU/µg, making this plasmid DNA ideal for mammalian cell transfection.

PureLink™ Fast Low-Endotoxin Maxi Plasmid Purification Kit (Invitrogen™)

The PureLink Fast Low-Endotoxin Maxi Plasmid Purification Kit uses next-generation columns with advanced silica membranes that enable isolation of transfection grade (<1 EU/µg) plasmid DNA in about 30 minutes. The PureLink® Pro 96 PCR Purification Kit combines advanced silica plate extraction chemistry with an optimized 96-well plate design for manual or automated processing of PCR cleanup in as little as 20 minutes. The PureLink® Pro 96 PCR Purification Kits provide rapid and efficient removal of short primers, dNTPs, enzymes, short-failed PCR products, and salts from PCR products. Improved plate design
The PureLink® Pro 96 PCR Purification Kit provides optimized semi-skirted 96-well plates(Figure 1) for improved performance and results. In addition, the plate nozzles with annular collar prevent cross-contamination of samples and improve drying of the silica membrane to prevent ethanol carryover. In addition, sample processing can be performed manually using a benchtop vacuum manifold, by centrifugation, or with an automated liquid handling platform. The semi-skirted plate design is compatible with most vacuum manifolds on robotic workstations.

GeneJET Plasmid Midiprep Kit (Thermo Scientific™)

Thermo Scientific GeneJET Plasmid Midiprep Kit, sufficient for 25 preps, is designed for large scale isolation of high quality plasmid DNA from recombinant E. coli cultures. The kit utilizes silica-based membrane technology in the form of convenient spin column. Each prep recovers up to 200 µg of high copy number plasmid DNA. The purified plasmid DNA can be used in a wide variety of molecular biology procedures, such as restriction endonuclease digestion, PCR, cloning, transformation, automated sequencing, in vitro transcription, and transfection of robust cell lines.

Mouse RiboPure™-Blood RNA Isolation Kit (Invitrogen™)

For the purification of extremely high-quality total RNA (and optionally, microRNA) from mouse or rat blood in about 35 minutes. The Ambion® kit includes sufficient reagents for 25 RNA purifications from whole blood samples ranging from 0.1–0.5 each.

• Includes RNAlater®, predispensed in 2 mL tubes, for RNA stabilization
• Resulting RNA is suitable for stringent downstream applications such as array analysis and qRT-PCR

Due to interference from the enzymatic inhibitors and anticoagulants present in blood samples, RNA purification from whole blood requires a stringent isolation method that yields high-quality RNA depleted of inhibiting agents and contaminants. The kit includes microfuge tubes preloaded with RNAlater® Tissue Collection:RNA Stabilization Solution, an aqueous, nontoxic storage reagent that prevents RNA degradation and preserves RNA profiles within samples. Stabilized samples can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days or at –20°C for long-term storage. The related Figures show the performance of RNA isolated with the Mouse RiboPure™-Blood Kit in real-time RT-PCR. The kit includes an alternative protocol for isolating total RNA that contains microRNA. Typically, 30–55 µg of total RNA (containing microRNA) is obtained from 0.5 mL mouse blood. Yields from rat blood are considerably more variable, generally 18–40 µg from 0.5 mL blood.

PureLink™ HiPure BAC Buffer Kit (Invitrogen™)

The PureLink® HiPure BAC Buffer Kit provides additional buffers and reagents for performing BAC (Bacterial Artificial Chromosome) DNA isolation using the PureLink® HiPure Plasmid Kits. The PureLink® HiPure Plasmid Kits utilize a proprietary anion-exchange resin which allows you to purify high-quality BAC DNA from E. coli cultures. BAC DNA requires the use of large bacterial culture volumes to obtain a reasonable DNA yield. The TRIzol® Max™ Bacterial RNA Isolation Kit provides a simple and reliable method to improve the isolation of intact total RNA from gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Simple Workflow Without Sacrificing Sensitivity & Specificity
The process consists of pelleting and washing a 500uL aliquot from the blood tube, followed by a unique digestion⁄DNase step which preserves RNA integrity. The preparation takes place entirely at room temperature unlike other products that require temperature-specific incubation steps. Up to 96 samples can be prepared in less than an hour, half the time it takes for competitive spin column purification to process only 12 samples, with less hands-on effort.
