DS-33 Matrix Standard Kit (Dye Set G5) Applied Biosystems™

The Matrix Standard Kit is used to generate the "multicomponent matrix" required when analyzing 6-FAM, VIC, NED, PET, and LIZ-labeled DNA fragments on the Applied Biosystems SeqStudio, 31xx, 3500, and 3730 series Systems. The Data Collection Software for these instruments uses the multicomponent matrix to automatically analyze the five different colored fluorescent dye-labeled samples in a single capillary.

FocalCheck™ DoubleGreen Fluorescent Microspheres Kit, 6 µm, mounted on slides Invitrogen™

The 6.0 µm FocalCheck™ DoubleGreen Fluorescent Microspheres are designed to test spectral separation on the Zeiss META system and other spectral imaging systems. These microspheres are stained with two different fluorescent dyes that appear similar in color by eye but are sufficiently different to be resolved by linear-unmixing techniques. When linear-unmixing data-processing algorithms are applied, the dyes are shown to be spectrally distinct and spatially separated - one appears only with in the outer ring and the other appears throughout the microsphere. The dual-stained microspheres are provided mounted on a microscope slide. The kits also contain two additional slides containing microspheres stained uniformly with each of the individual dyes.

FocalCheck™ Fluorescence Microscope Test Slide #1, for alignment, intensity, & calibration Invitrogen™

The FocalCheck™ fluorescence microscope test slide #1 is specifically designed for calibrating fluorescence microscope systems and evaluating system and filter performance. The slide contains 10 sample areas coated with FocalCheck™ ring stained microspheres ranging in size from 0.5-15 µm that provide a visual representation of instrument misalignment or other aberrations in row A; row B contains a series of microspheres with fluorescence intensities ranging from 0.667-100%.

DS-36 Matrix Standard (Dye Set J6) Applied Biosystems™

The DS-36 Matrix Standard (Dye Set J6) is used to perform the spectral calibration required to analyze 6-FAM, VIC, NED, SID, TAZ, and LIZ dye-labeled DNA fragments on the Applied Biosystems SeqStudio, 3130, 3500, and 3730 series systems. The data collection software for these instruments uses the multi-component matrix to automatically analyze the 6 differently colored fluorescent dye-labeled samples in a single capillary. The DS-36 Matrix Standard (Dye Set J6) contains 6 specific sizes of a unique fluorescent dye label.

ABY™ Dye Spectral Calibration Plate, 96-well Applied Biosystems™

This plate is used for ABY® spectral calibration of your Applied Biosystems® 7500 or ViiA™ 7 real-time PCR system with a 96-well block. Please see your instrument maintenance guide for full instructions on use. The dye formulations will help improve multiplexing results by more accurately representing fluorescent spectra that are part of your real-time PCR experiments.

Alignflow™ Flow Cytometry Alignment Beads for Red Lasers, 6.0 µm Invitrogen™

Molecular Probes® AlignFlow™ flow cytometry alignment beads are reliable references for aligning, focusing, and calibrating flow cytometers.The 6.0 µm Alignflow™ Flow Cytometry Alignment Beads for Red Lasers are fluorescent-dye infused microspheres that are excitable at 630–640 nm with emission in the range of 645–680 nm.

AlignFlow™ beads provide:

• Uniformity—very low FSC CV and intensity CV
• Consistency in production, creating ideal reference standards
• Confidence through reliable, optimal instrument performance
• Compatibility—use with any instrument

The AlignFlow™ beads are highly uniform with respect to size and fluorescence intensity, resulting in low FSC CV and intensity CV. The beads approximate the size, emission wavelength, and intensity of many biological samples and permit the calibration of the flow cytometer’s laser source, optics, and stream flow without wasting valuable and sensitive experimental material.

Bead Labeling
As with all of our flow cytometry standard microspheres, the AlignFlow™ beads are stained internally rather than on the surface. The dyes are therefore insulated from environmental interactions that could cause variable fluorescence output, resulting in excellent signal stability. These fluorescent polystyrene microspheres are supplied as suspensions packaged in dropper vials for convenient dispensation and are available in a choice of three colors (UV, blue, red) and two sizes (2.5 µm, 6.0 µm) to match your laser.

The AlignFlow™ flow cytometry reference beads are provided in updated packaging that includes a Quick Reference Label that puts key information for product use at your fingertips.

These beads replace previous AlignFlow™ flow cytometry reference bead products. This particular product replaces AlignFlow™ Plus Flow Cytometry Alignment Beads, 6.0 µm, for 633 excitation (A7313).

TAMRA™ Dye Spectral Calibration Plate, 384-well Applied Biosystems™

This kit is used for TAMRA™ spectral calibration of your ViiA™ 7, QuantStudio™ 6 Flex, QuantStudio™ 7 Flex, or QuantStudio™ 12K Flex system with a 384-well block. Please see your instrument maintenance guide for full instructions on use.

These calibration kits are used to maintain your real-time PCR system with 384-well block. They include calibration plates to perform a spectral calibration with FAM™, VIC®, ROX™, SYBR® Green, TAMRA™, NED™ dyes, plates to perform region-of-interest (ROI) calibration, normalization calibration, and to run an RNase P verification. Calibration and verification should be run at least every six months. Please see your instrument maintenance guide for full instructions on use.

The dye formulations for your ViiA™ 7, QuantStudio™ 6 Flex, QuantStudio™ 7 Flex, or QuantStudio™ 12K Flex system will improve results with multiplexing by more accurately representing fluorescent spectra found in your real-time PCR experiments.

TetraSpeck™ Microspheres, 4.0 µm, fluorescent blue/green/orange/dark red Invitrogen™

The 4.0 µm TetraSpeck™ microspheres are stained throughout with four different fluorescent dyes, yielding beads that each display four well-separated excitation/emission peaks - 360/430 nm (blue), 505/515 nm (green), 560/580 nm (orange) and 660/680 nm (dark red). These microspheres can greatly facilitate the calibration of conventional fluorescence microscopes, confocal laser scanning microscopes, and associated image-processing equipment for both scientific and commercial imaging, especially for multicolor applications.
