Alignflow™ Flow Cytometry Alignment Beads for Red Lasers, 6.0 µm (Invitrogen™)

Molecular Probes® AlignFlow™ flow cytometry alignment beads are reliable references for aligning, focusing, and calibrating flow cytometers.The 6.0 µm Alignflow™ Flow Cytometry Alignment Beads for Red Lasers are fluorescent-dye infused microspheres that are excitable at 630–640 nm with emission in the range of 645–680 nm.

The AlignFlow™ beads are highly uniform with respect to size and fluorescence intensity, resulting in low FSC CV and intensity CV. The beads approximate the size, emission wavelength, and intensity of many biological samples and permit the calibration of the flow cytometer’s laser source, optics, and stream flow without wasting valuable and sensitive experimental material.

Bead Labeling
As with all of our flow cytometry standard microspheres, the AlignFlow™ beads are stained internally rather than on the surface. The dyes are therefore insulated from environmental interactions that could cause variable fluorescence output, resulting in excellent signal stability. These fluorescent polystyrene microspheres are supplied as suspensions packaged in dropper vials for convenient dispensation and are available in a choice of three colors (UV, blue, red) and two sizes (2.5 µm, 6.0 µm) to match your laser.

PS-Speck™ Microscope Point Source Kit (blue, green, orange & deep-red fluorescent beads) (Invitrogen™)

The PS-Speck™ Microscope Point Source Kit contains four different colors of fluorescence microspheres; each microsphere has a diameter of 0.175 +/- 0.005 µm. This exceptionall small diameter coefficient of variation makes the PS-Speck™ microspheres ideal as uniform, subresolution fluorescent point sources for calibrating instrument optics, especially in three-dimensional imaging applications. This kit's four ready-to-use 1 mL suspensions contain bright, monodisperse microspheres with excitation/emission wavelengths of 360/440 nm (blue), 505/515 nm (green), 540/560 nm (orange) and 633/660 nm (deep red). FMAT® 2-Color Standard Microsphere Kit is designed to demonstrate the use of the FMAT® System and how to set up, run and analyze a two-color multiplexed experiment. The FMAT® 2-Color Standard Microsphere Kit contains eight vials of colored beads as follows: Dye A: Intensity 1 (highest), Intensity 2, Intensity 3 and Intensity 4 (lowest). The Fast 96-Well Dye Calibration Plate (TAMRA™) is used to maintain your real-time PCR instrument with Fast 96-well block. Dye calibration should be run after lamp change. Please see your instrument user guide for full instructions on use.

TAMRA™ Dye Spectral Calibration Plate, 96-well (Applied Biosystems™)

This TAMRA™ dye spectral calibration plate can be used to maintain your ViiA™ 7, QuantStudio™ 6 Flex, QuantStudio™ 7 Flex, or QuantStudio™ 12K Flex system with 96-well block. Calibration and verification should be run at least every six months. Please see your instrument maintenance guide for full instructions on use.

The dye formulations for your real-time PCR system will improve results with multiplexing by more accurately representing fluorescent spectra found in your real-time PCR experiments.

AccuCheck Counting Beads (Invitrogen™)

AccuCheck Counting Beads are an efficient single-platform method for absolute cell counts that combines the advantages of direct flow cytometric immunophenotyping with the use of two different fluorescent beads (A and B beads). These two fluorospheres are used as a double internal standard for blood volume calculation. A known volume of AccuCheck Counting Beads is added to the same known volume of stained blood in a lyse-no-wash technique. The beads are counted along with cells. Since the concentration of beads is known, the number of cells per microliter (the absolute count) is obtained by relating the number of cells counted to the total number of fluorescent bead events. The cell number is then multiplied by the number of total fluorospheres per unit of volume. As the AccuCheck Counting Beads system contains two different fluorospheres in a known proportion, we can first assure the accuracy of the assay by verifying the proportion of both types of beads.

The AbC™ Total Antibody Compensation Bead Kit provides a consistent, accurate, and simple-to-use technique for the setting of flow cytometry compensation when using fluorochrome-conjugated mouse, rat, hamster, or rabbit antibodies with any laser in flow cytometry.

Accurate compensation is crucial for effective multicolor analysis in flow cytometry. How it works
Each kit provides polystyrene microspheres that have fluorescent antibody conjugate capture capacity (positive compensation beads) or are inert (negative compensation beads). After mixing with a fluorophore-conjugated mouse, rat, hamster, or rabbit antibody, the two components provide a distinct high-signal positive control with an appropriate negative population that can then be used to set compensation properly regardless of the intensity of the cells in the actual experiment.

Broadest multispecies reactivity
The AbC™ Total Antibody Compensation Bead Kit is ideal for compensation with all isotypes of mouse (IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, IgG3, IgM), rat (IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, IgG2c, IgM), hamster (Armenian IgG and Syrian IgG), and rabbit (monoclonal and polyclonal) immunoglobulins.

Brightest signal
The AbC™ Total Compensation Bead Kit demonstrates the highest and most consistent reactivity to the different subclasses of immunoglobulin in the industry.

Maximum laser compatibility
All AbC™ compensation bead kits are ideal for use with any excitation source, including the 405 nm laser which has historically provided higher background signals due to auto-fluorescence with other kits on the market.

TaqMan™ RNase P Instrument Verification Plate, Fast 48-well (Applied Biosystems™)

Applied Biosystems® TaqMan® RNase P Fast 48-Well Instrument Verification Plate is used to verify the performance of the Applied Biosystems® StepOne™ Real-Time PCR System. The TaqMan® RNase P Fast 48-Well Instrument Verification Plate is a 48-well PCR plate preloaded with the necessary reagents to detect and quantitate genomic copies of the human RNase P gene, a single-copy gene encoding the RNA moiety of the RNase P enzyme. Each well contains preloaded reaction mix (1X TaqMan® Universal PCR Master Mix, RNase P primers, and FAM™ dye–labeled probe) and template. The TaqMan® RNase P Fast 48-Well Instrument Verification Plate satisfies the same requirements as the Applied Biosystems® StepOne™ Real-Time PCR Systems installation. To pass installation, the instrument must demonstrate the ability to distinguish between 5,000 and 10,000 genomic equivalents with a 99.7% confidence level for a subsequent sample run in a single well. To ensure accurate results, Applied Biosystems® recommends that the performance of your instrument be verified every six months.
