TaqMan® Array Plates must be run on a real-time PCR instrument with 96-well plate capability. The plates have been validated for use on Applied Biosystems® 7000, 7300, 7500 and 7900HT Fast Real-Time PCR Systems using standard 96-well blocks, standard PCR cycling conditions, and 20 µl reaction volumes.

TaqMan™ OpenArray™ Human Signal Transduction Panel, QuantStudio™ 12K Flex Applied Biosystems™

The TaqMan® OpenArray® Human Signal Transduction Panel was developed to identify differentially expressed genes involved in major signaling pathways. This gene signature panel contains 573 TaqMan® assays specific to signal transduction-related genes plus 24 endogenous controls. The format of the OpenArray® plate allows for 1–4 replicates to be run in parallel per plate.

In this real-time PCR assay panel, genes encoding the JAK-STAT, NFκB, Akt, GPCR, cAMP, and MAP kinase pathways are well represented. The full lengths of these pathways are covered, from ligand to receptor to kinase to transcription factor. In addition, there are 18 endogenous control genes against which the assays can be normalized. All assays in this panel have been tested in our laboratories, so you can be sure that each assay is fully optimized.

The plate is pre-formatted and inventoried, cost-effective, convenient, and easy-to-use, without the need for expensive robotics. Results are reproducible and consistent across samples, studies, and labs—for the same data quality from plate-to-plate and lot-to-lot, even with different operators.

The Right Targets
This OpenArray® plate uses the proprietary Applied Biosystems® OpenArray® technology to simultaneously analyze gene expression levels by quantitative PCR for 573 test genes and 24 endogenous controls.

Genes were included based on the following criteria:

• Expression in human embryonal carcinoma cells (hEC), primordial germ cells, or human ES (hES) cells
• Known role in maintenance of pluripotency in hES cells
• Identification in microplate-based experiments as being correlated with the cancer state
• Expression known to be characteristic of specific differentiation lineages in the post implantation embryo and mature tissues

TaqMan™ Array Human PI3K Signaling in B-Lymphocyte Applied Biosystems™

These 96-well plates are pre-configured with the most appropriate TaqMan® Gene Expression Assays for a specific biological process, pathway, or disease state. Each plate contains predefined assays and endogenous controls dried-down in the wells, ready for accurate assessment of an entire gene signature in one simple experiment. The TaqMan® Array Human PI3K Signaling In B-Lymphocyte 96-well Plate contains 92 assays to genes associated with PI3K signaling in B-Lymphocytes and 4 assays to candidate endogenous control genes.

TaqMan™ OpenArray™ PGx Express Panel, QuantStudio™ 12K Flex Applied Biosystems™

The TaqMan® OpenArray® PGx (Pharmacogenomics) Express Panel is an efficient, easy-to-use OpenArray® plate for pharmacogenomics applications. The assays were developed to detect polymorphisms in genes encoding drug metabolism enzymes (DMEs) and associated transport proteins. This pharmacogenomics express panel contains 60 TaqMan® DME and SNP genotyping assays. These assays provide coverage of essential, commonly studied markers within CYP2D6, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, and other important DME and clinical research genes.

Each TaqMan® Drug Metabolism and SNP genotyping assay in the panel contains two allele-specific probes and a primer pair to detect the specific SNP target. Both the probes and primers uniquely align within the genome, enabling the TaqMan® genotyping technology to provide superior specificity. It is this specificity that allows these assays to detect targets residing in highly homologous gene families that may include pseudogenes. TaqMan® Drug Metabolism genotyping assays were developed using a high level of bioinformatics and wet-lab stringency. All assays have passed performance tests involving 180 unique DNA samples from four different populations.
