SYBR™ Photographic Filter (Invitrogen™)

The SYBR photographic filter provides optimal filtration for photographing gels stained with SYBR Green I, SYBR Green II and SYBR Gold nucleic acid gel stains. This filter is a 75 mm x 75 mm gelatin square that fits beneath the lens of a Polaroid camera in a typical darkroom set-up.

Green Filter for myECL™ Imager (Thermo Scientific™)

The Thermo Scientific 510-550nm bandpass filter is a threaded, 50mm-diameter glass filter. This product is used for the addition of a green filter to one of two open positions in the myECL Imager for detection (emission) wavelengths of common fluorescent nucleic acid stains, such as SYBR* Green Nucleic Acid Gel Stain and SYBR Safe DNA Gel Stain.

The E-Gel® Imager system is your personal imaging system for documenting and analyzing agarose gels and E-Gel® cassettes. E-Gel® Imager is a very powerful and flexible system that allows you to document gel images using multiple nucleic acid dyes and even Qdot® nanocrystals. The Right Filter for Your Application
For most applications the universal filter installed in the camera hood at the time of purchase will be acceptable. There are two specific alternative filters that are currently available. First, there’s the E-Gel® Imager UV/SYBR® Filter, which is the best choice when documenting gels stainded with a SYBR® stain using UV transillumination. Second, there’s the E-Gel® Imager Qdot® 625 filter that can be used with Qdot® nanocrystal with an emission peak of 625nm.

iBright™ Imaging System Sample Stage/Turntable (Invitrogen™)

The iBright Imaging System Sample Stage/Turntable is used for sample placement and auto-alignment in the iBright imaging systems (CL1000, CL1500, FL1000, FL1500). It is made available as a replacement or additional sample stage for these systems. If the iBright imaging system is being used extensively for imaging and band excision from DNA gels, it is recommended that users have a separate Sample Stage to dedicate to this application.

There are two powerful software tools included with the E-Gel® Imager system, GelCapture and Gel Quant Express. GelCapture allows you to adjust sensitivity and exposure settings to capture the perfect image of your gel. Once you have that perfect image basic manipulations like inversion or pixel coloration can be performed. The Gel Quant Express software allows quantitation and analysis via 1D gel analysis or using the express mode. GelCapture can be downloaded and utilized on any PC, while Gel Quant Express requires a USB dongle for operation. Additional USB dongles can be purchased to use Gel Quant Express on more than one PC simultaneously.

E-Gel™ Imager UV Light Base

The E-Gel® Imager system is your personal imaging system for documenting and analyzing agarose gels and E-Gel® cassettes. The E-Gel® Imager UV Light Base is one of three interchangeable bases that work with the E-Gel® Imager Camera Hood to comprise the E-Gel® Imager system. The E-Gel® Imager UV Light base is a compact UV light transilluminator for self poured gels as well as E-Gel® agarose gel cassettes stained with ethidium bromide. E-Gel® Imager UV Light Base has a built in safety mechanism that requires the E-Gel® Imager Camera Hood to be affixed over the top in order to be operational. Alternatively the E-Gel® Imager Gel Excision Kit will allow the base to transilluminate without the Camera Hood attached. E-Gel® Imager UV Light Base has an internal power supply port to allow operation of the E-Gel® iBase™ power system inside the system without running cables or wires under the hood or through a door.

Strong, Steady Ultraviolet Transillumination
The E-Gel® Imager UV Light Base is an excellent transilluminator specially designed to work as part of the E-Gel® Imager system. The UV Light Base provides intense uniform illumination across the entirety of the glass surface of the table. The internal light sources have been positioned to minimize hot and cold spots as well as edge effects and to minimize shadowing. The E-Gel® Imager UV Light Base produces very bright and intense UV light. Proper personal protective equipment should always be used when working with UV light.

Small Footprint Fits Most Benchtop
The E-gel® Imager UV Light Base has been designed as a part of the compact E-Gel® Imager system. The contoured design is sleek and modern, to standout on any bench without overwhelming even a modest amount of space. E-Gel® Imager is a departure from the heavy, cumbersome imaging systems of years past. As part of the E-Gel® Imager system the UV Light Base is small and light enough to move around the lab as needed, but attractive enough to want to store in plain sight.
