StemPro™ Human Adipose-Derived Stem Cell Kit (Gibco™)

Human adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) are isolated from human lipoaspirate tissue and cryopreserved from primary cultures. ADSCs have phenotypic and functional characteristics very similar to those of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells. Before cryopreservation, the ADSCs are expanded for one passage in MesenPRO RS™ Medium, a reduced-serum (2%) medium that improves MSC expansion compared to conventional serum supplemented media. The StemPro® Human Adipose-Derived Stem Cell Kit contains cryopreserved normal human ADSCs and MesenPRO RS™ Medium - together, these components ensure optimal ADSC growth and expansion. Each lot of ADSCs originates from a single donor of human lipoaspirate tissue. Each vial of ADSCs contains cells that can differentiate into multiple mature cell phenotypes in vitro, including adipocytes, osteoblasts, and chondrocytes. ADSCs can be expanded to 4-5 passages before they lose their ability to grow or differentiate into all potential phenotypes. The ADSCs express the following flow cytometry cell-surface protein profile: positive CD29, CD44, CD73, CD90, CD105, CD166; negative CD14, CD31, CD45, Lin1.

Applications: Formulated for the growth and expansion of mesenchymal stem cells.

StemPro™ BM Mesenchymal Stem Cells (Gibco™)

StemPro® BM Mesenchymal Stem Cells are cryopreserved human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM MSCs). These Off-the-Shelf cells are manufactured to meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacturing standards in a California-licensed facility and available for Research Use Only. They are isolated and expanded in culture to passage 4 under a low oxygen (ischemia tolerant (it)) proprietary clinical-scale manufacturing process using Bovine Growth Serum (BGS)-supplemented media and cryopreserved in an animal origin free cryopreservation medium. The cells are supplied at 1x106 and 5x106 viable cells/vial. A Certificate of Analysis is available for each lot which documents the quality control specifications, test results and donor information.

Immature, High Potency, Low Oxygen-Cultured MSCs
StemPro® BM Mesenchymal Stem Cells are derived from human bone marrow aspirates from qualified, traceable donors. The cells are isolated, cultured and expanded in compliance with GMP manufacturing standards in a California-licensed facility using a proprietary clinical-scale Reduced Oxygen Tension manufacturing process. Cells manufactured in reduced oxygen tension environments result in higher cell yields of highly potent immature stem cells compared to cells expanded in normal oxygen culture conditions.

Proven Non-toxic Profiles
Cells have demonstrated to be non-toxic and non-tumorigenic in GLP animal studies, which were performed according to FDA guidelines.

They are isolated and expanded in culture to passage 4 under a low oxygen (ischemic tolerant, proprietary manufacturing process using FBS-supplemented media and then cryopreserved in an animal origin-free cryopreservation medium. The cells are supplied at a concentration of 1 x 106 viable cells/vial. A Certificate of Analysis is available for each lot that documents the quality control specifications, test results, and donor information. These cells have no observed tumorigenicity/toxicity in GLP-compliant animal studies.

Rat Fetal Neural Stem Cell Kit (Gibco™)

Gibco Rat Fetal Neural Stem Cells are isolated and cryopreserved from the cortex of Sprague Dawley Rats at day E14 of gestation. A flexible, ready-to-use, and quality alternative to fresh cells, each vial contains 2 million cells per mL. Upon proliferation in StemPro NSC SFM, >75% of the cells retain their undifferentiated phenotype with the capability to differentiate into neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes.

Human Episomal iPSC Line (Gibco™)

The Gibco Human Episomal iPSC Line was derived from CD34+ cord blood using a three-plasmid, seven-factor (SOKMNLT; SOX2, OCT4 (POU5F1), KLF4, MYC, NANOG, LIN28, and SV40L T antigen) EBNA-based episomal system. This iPSC line is considered to be zero foot-print as there was no integration into the genome from the reprogramming event.It has been shown to be free of all reprogramming genes and will provide researchers with a control line to compare and study a multitude of aspects of stem cell research.

The Gibco Human Episomal iPSC Line has a normal karyotype and endogenous expression of pluripotent markers like Oct4, Sox2, and Nanog (as shown by RT-PCR) and Oct4, SSEA4, TRA-1-60 and TRA-1-81 (as shown by ICC). Global gene expression analyses demonstrated that this episomal hiPSC line is molecularly indistinguishable from human embryonic stem cell lines (2). In directed differentiation and teratoma analyses, these hiPSCs retained their differentiation potential for the ectodermal, endodermal, and mesodermal lineages (1). In addition, vascular, hematopoietic, neural, and cardiac lineages were derived with robust efficiencies (1).

Rat Glial Precursor Cells (Gibco™)

Gibco Rat Glial Precursor Cells are isolated and cryopreserved from the cortex of newborn Sprague Dawley Rats. A flexible, ready-to-use, and quality alternative to fresh precursor cells, each vial contains 1 million cells per mL. These cells consistently yield a post-thaw viability of >50%. Upon proliferation in StemPro NSC SFM, >80% of the cells retain their undifferentiated phenotype with the capability to differentiate into oligodendrocytes and astrocytes.

The cells are isolated under sterile conditions, expanded in complete StemPro NSC SFM, and cryopreserved at Passage 2. Each vial can be expanded once to give >2-fold increase in cells.
