About the Mini Gel Tank
The Mini Gel Tank is compatible with all Novex and NuPAGE mini gels. Each Mini Gel Tank can accommodate up to two gels per run. The unique tank design enables convenient, side-by-side gel loading and enhanced viewing during use. Run times may vary depending on buffer conditions and power supplies being used.

About Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format
Novex Tris-Glycine mini gels are polyacrylamide gels based on traditional Laemmli protein electrophoresis, allowing the use of Laemmli sample and running buffers. They enable consistent performance and separation of a wide range of proteins into well-resolved bands. Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format, have innovative wedge-shaped wells that allow up to two times more sample load volume than other 1.0 mm-thick gels. The wedge-shaped wells also have larger openings, making sample loading easier.

For transferring your proteins to a membrane, we recommend using for Novex Tris-Glycine Native Running Buffer or Novex Tris-Glycine Transfer Buffer for traditional wet transfer using the Mini Blot Module. E-PAGE™ 6% Protein Gels, 96-well (Invitrogen™)

E-PAGE™ Gels are self-contained, pre-cast gels that include a gel matrix and electrodes packaged inside a disposable cassette. Protein separation on an E-PAGE™ Gel requires an EBase™ Integrated Device, a compact and automated platform designed for medium- and high-throughput electrophoresis. Each E-PAGE™ 96 6% gel contains 96 sample lanes and 8 marker lanes with a 1.6-cm separation length. The well openings of the E-PAGE™ 96 cassette are compatible with the standard 96-well plate format, and can be conveniently loaded with a multichannel pipettor or 8-, 12-, or 96-tip liquid-handling robotic devices (Figure 2).

In addition to this 96-lane 6% configuration, E-PAGE gels are also available in a 48-lane 8% format.

Both E-PAGE™ 48 and 96 cassettes can be opened to remove the gel for downstream staining or blotting (Figures 3 and 4). In addition, each cassette is labeled with an individual barcode to facilitate identification of the gel using commercial barcode readers.

More About the E-PAGE™ Precast Gel System
The E-PAGE™ Precast Gel System is designed for fast, mess-free medium- and high-throughput protein electrophoresis. It consists of the E-PAGE™ precast gels, E-Base™ Integrated Devices for running the gels, and free E-Editor™ 2.0 software for image analysis.

E-Base™ Integrated Devices combine the base and the power source in one device. Up to 3 "Daughter" E-Base™ Devices may be connected to one Mother E-Base™ to permit multiple gels to be run simultaneously using identical parameters. Invitrogen NuPAGE Bis-Tris protein gels are precast polyacrylamide gels that provide broad molecular weight protein separation with high resolution and sample integrity. These precast gels are ideal for applications where protein integrity is crucial. Unlike traditional Tris-glycine gels, NuPAGE Bis-Tris gels have a neutral pH environment that minimizes protein modifications. Use NuPAGE Bis-Tris gels for preparing proteins for sequencing, mass spectrometry, and any other techniques where protein integrity is important. Choose the right NuPAGE Bis-Tris gel for your protein separation
Obtain optimal separation of your proteins by choosing the right combination of gel and running buffer. NuPAGE Bis-Tris protein gels come in four polyacrylamide concentrations: 8%, 10%, 12%, and a 4–12% gradient. Gels come in two sizes: mini (8 cm x 8 cm) or midi (8.7 cm x 13.3 cm) and either 1.0 mm (mini and midi gels) or 1.5 mm (mini gel format only) in thickness. NuPAGE Bis-Tris gels also come in multiple well formats.

NuPAGE Bis-Tris gels are formulated for denaturing gel electrophoresis applications. For optimal sample preparation, use the NuPAGE LDS Sample Buffer and NuPAGE Sample Reducing Agent. Use NuPAGE Antioxidant in the running buffer to maintain the reduced state of the proteins during the run and to allow maximum band sharpness. The gels can be run using NuPAGE MES SDS Running Buffer to better resolve small proteins or NuPAGE MOPS SDS Running Buffer to resolve medium- to large-size proteins.

NuPAGE Bis-Tris Midi gels can be used with the XCell SureLock Midi Cell gel apparatuses or conveniently with the Bio-Rad Criterion Cell using our adapters.

For transfer of proteins to a membrane, rapid semi-dry transfer can be done using the Invitrogen Power Blotter or rapid dry transfer using the iBlot 2 Gel Transfer Device. Alternatively, traditional wet transfer can be performed using the Bio-Rad Criterion Cell using NuPAGE Transfer buffer.

Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format, come in a variety of fixed concentrations from 6% to 18%, as well as gradients with ranges of 4–12%, 4–20%, 8–16%, and 10–20%. You can select from our many well formats, including 10-, 12-, and 15-well, and different pack sizes.

Run your proteins in native or denatured form
Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format, do not contain SDS and can be used to run your proteins in native or in denatured form. For denatured proteins, we recommend using Novex Tris-Glycine SDS Sample Buffer and Novex Tris-Glycine SDS Running Buffer. For native proteins, we recommend using Novex Tris-Glycine Native Sample Buffer and Novex Tris-Glycine Native Running Buffer.

Convenient to use
Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format, have innovative wedge-shaped wells that allow up to two times more sample load volume than other 1.0 mm-thick gels. The wedge-shaped wells also have larger openings, making sample loading easier.

For transferring your proteins to a membrane, we recommend using Novex Tris-Glycine Transfer Buffer when preforming traditional wet transfer using the Invitrogen Mini Blot Module. Transfers can also be performed with rapid semi-dry transfer using the Invitrogen Power Blotter or rapid dry transfer using the iBlot 2 Gel Transfer Device.

NuPAGE™ 3-8% Tris-Acetate Midi Protein Gels, 26-well (Invitrogen™)

Invitrogen NuPAGE Tris-Acetate protein gels provide excellent separation of large molecular weight proteins. They are high performance polyacrylamide gels that simulate the denaturing or native conditions of the traditional laemmli system. The unique buffer formulation maintains a low operating pH during electrophoresis, resulting in superior resolution of high molecular weight proteins compared to traditional Tris-glycine SDS-PAGE gels.

Gels come in two sizes: mini (8 cm x 8 cm) or midi (8.7 cm x 13.3 cm) and either 1.0 mm (mini and midi gels) or 1.5 mm (mini gel format only) in thickness. NuPAGE Tris-Acetate gels also come in multiple well formats. Mini gels can be run using our XCell SureLock Mini-Cell or Mini Gel Tank. Midi gels can be run using our XCell4 SureLock Midi-Cell or conveniently with the Bio-Rad Criterion™ Cell using our adapters.
