The Most Senitive Nucleic Acid Stain

The stain in E-Gel Go! precast agarose gels can be visualized with traditional UV transilluminators, but for the very best results and highest sensitivity visible blue light should be used. When using blue light the bands must be viewed through an amber filter. Best of all, the E-Gel Go! For linear double stranded DNA fragments ranging from ~1.5kbp – 100bp in size the 2% gels offer excellent resolution and separation. E-Gel™ 96 Agarose Gels, 2% (Invitrogen™)

E-Gel® 96 Agarose Gels are bufferless, pre-cast gels designed for fast, high-throughput DNA electrophoresis. Each gel contains 96 sample lanes and 8 marker lanes that are ideal for screening multiple PCR products, plasmid preparations, and restriction digests. The unique 96-well staggered-well format provides a 1.6 cm run length that resolves between 100 bp and 10 kb. The E-Gel® 96 loading format is compatible with multi-channel pipettors, and the most commonly used 8-, 12-, and 96-pin liquid handling robots (see figure). With 12-minute run times, up to 20,000 samples can be resolved in a single day.

Alternative format—E-Gel® 96 2% with SYBR® Safe DNA Gel Stain
E-Gel® 96 2% with SYBR® Safe offers high-throughput labs performing agarose electrophoresis the option to eliminate the use of ethidium bromide. Unlike ethidium bromide, the DNA stain most commonly incorporated into agarose gels, SYBR® Safe DNA Gel Stain is a nontoxic, nonmutagenic DNA stain that is safer for the user, safer for the environment, and can save institutional overhead costs for disposal. There is no compromise involved with switching to SYBR® Safe. It is the safer alternative to ethidium bromide.

Novex® TBE-Urea Gels are denaturing polyacrylamide gels that resolve single-stranded DNA oligos or RNA into sharp, distinct bands. These gels are optimized for the analysis and purification of products ranging from 20-800 bases, making them an ideal choice for synthetic oligo analysis and purification, RNase Protection Assays (RPA), in vitro transcription studies, and Northern blot analysis. Novex® TBE-Urea gels are designed to run on the XCell SureLock™ Mini-Cell.

Formulation: Novex® TBE-Urea gels are made with high-purity reagents, including Tris base, boric acid, EDTA, acrylamide, bisacrylamide, TEMED, APS, and 7M urea. Strict quality control ensures that gels and buffers are DNase- and RNase-free.

Recommended Buffers: For optimum performance, Novex® TBE-Urea sample buffers and Novex® TBE Running Buffer are strongly recommended for use with these gels. For analytical applications, Novex® TBE-Urea Sample Buffer is recommended. This buffer contains urea, the density agent Ficoll™, which yields sharper, straighter bands than conventional density agents, and the tracking dyes Bromophenol Blue and Xylene Cyanol.
