Round or tube cells are cuvettes, typically used in spectroscopic analyzers, including FTIR, X-ray, and colorimeter applications. Low-density, translucent polyethylene cups, and clear polystyrene cups are ideal for use with most aqueous solutions, while polypropylene cups are translucent and recommended for most solvents. PTFE cups are more suited for work with concentrated acids and analyses that demand the lowest detection levels.
