Centrifuge Bottles

Containers suitable for low- to moderate-speed biological and chemical sample centrifugation. Typically constructed of polypropylene or polycarbonate, centrifuge bottles are available in a variety of materials to support applications such as large-volume pelleting, DNA isolation and protein purification, and sample storage. For samples requiring higher speeds or for hazardous samples, bottles with leak-proof seals are recommended. Polypropylene centrifuge bottles offer exceptional mechanical strength and clarity. Polycarbonate centrifuge bottles provide excellent chemical resistance. For proper performance, centrifuge bottles should normally be filled to at least 80% capacity.
