Pierce Formic Acid is specially purified and tested to the highest specifications to ensure the integrity of your data, maximize sensitivity in your assay and to prolong the life of your equipment.
Formic acid is a common component of reverse-phase mobile phases that provide protons for LC/MS analysis. The presence of a low concentration of formic acid in the mobile phase is also known to improve the peak shapes of the resulting separation. Unlike trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), formic acid is not an ion-pairing agent and it does not suppress MS ionization of polypeptides when used as a mobile-phase component.

LinerGOLD™ GC Liners Thermo Scientific™

- Consistently high level of performance time after time

Pierce™ Dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), Sequencing Grade Thermo Scientific™
This sequencing-grade dimethylsulfoxide is >99.5% pure DMSO. The economically priced 950 mL bottles are an excellent choice for protein and peptide applications that requiring large volumes of the water-miscible solvent. (For small-volume needs, consider the related 50 mL bottles of DMSO, Cat. No. 85190.) The purity test ensures that preparation is essentially devoid of amines. The formulation was originally developed for peptide sequencing applications with amino acid analyzers, which required high purity solvent and an affordable price. This DMSO is packaged in solvent-rinsed amber glass bottles and sealed with PTFE-lined fluorocarbon caps for ultimate protection.
Features of DMSO:
• High-purity (low amine) solvent for various protein, peptide and amino acid applications
• Packaged in solvent-rinsed amber glass bottles and sealed with PTFE-lined fluorocarbon caps
• Suitable for HPLC detection, although it is not specifically tested for low UV-absorptivity
General properties of DMSO
• Alternative names: Methylsulfinylmethane, methyl sulfoxide
• Molecular formula: C2H6SO
• Molecular weight: 78.13
• Density: 1.101 g/mL
• CAS number: 67-68-5
Specifications of Thermo Scientific Pierce DMSO

SWAP-IT™ GC-MS Interface System Thermo Scientific™
Make column changeovers quick and easy. The Thermo Scientific™ SWAP-IT™ GC-MS Interface system is a powerful tool that enables capillary column changes without the need to vent your mass spectrometer (MS). It uses a specially deactivated, robust stainless steel transfer capillary as an interface between the analytical column and the MS detector. The small inner diameter of transfer capillary ensures minimum exposure to air and water when the analytical column is disconnected. A helium purge is not required. Finger-tight connections make it quick and easy without the need for tools.
