G-5 Supplement (100X) Gibco™

G-5 Supplement is a chemically defined, serum-free supplement based on Bottenstein’s G-5 formulation. It is recommended for growth and expression of glial cells (normal and tumor) of astrocytic phenotype (astrocytes). G-5 Supplement is provided as a 100X concentrate and is intended for use with Neurobasal Medium. It may also be used with DMEM, DMEM⁄F-12, or other basal media.

Yeast Extract Gibco™

Yeast Extracts are concentrates of the water-soluble portion of autolyzed Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells. They are derived from primary grown baker’s yeast. These animal origin-free products are suitable for use as multi-functional nutritional supplements in mammalian cell culture, microbial fermentation, and insect cell culture applications. Yeast extract provides essential water-soluble vitamins, amino acids, peptides, and carbohydrates to any medium formulation.

Resurge CD3 Supplement, without glucose and L-glutamine, is an animal origin-free (AOF) protein-free chemically defined supplement. It can be used in batch and fed batch mode in cell culture processes. All components are chemically defined with known molecular formulae and structures and meet our stringent Animal Origin-Free (AOF) specification.

Resurge CD3 Supplement is formulated without glucose, L-glutamine, and sodium bicarbonate. Due to the balanced nutritional nature of this supplement, rich in amino acids, it has also been used in bacterial applications.

RevitaCell™ Supplement (100X) Gibco™

RevitaCell™ Supplement (100X) has been optimized for use with pluripotent stem cells (PSCs), either as a post-thaw recovery solution to improve cell viability or in combination with Essential 8™ Medium to enhance single cell passaging applications. It can also be used for recovery of primary neurons, traditionally a challenging cell to efficiently recover. The significant improvement seen in these applications is due to the presence of a more specific ROCK inhibitor coupled with molecules containing antioxidant and free radical scavenger properties that minimize the impact of stress on the cells.

• Enabling—provides maximum cell viability when performing single cell passaging
• Rapid cell recovery—high post-thaw cell viability and growth of pluripotent stem cells (passaged as clumps or single cells) and neurons

Single cell passaging
Use of the RevitaCellTM Supplement for 18-24 hours post-single cell passaging provides vast improvement in cell survival. Cells are shown to reach passaging confluency within 3-4 days post-seeding.

Higher specificity
Kinase profiling of pro-survival small molecules in RevitaCell™ Supplement shows higher specificity in comparison to traditional ROCK inhibitors (i.e., Y-27632 and Thiazovivin).

Quicker post-thaw recovery
PSCs recovered at 40,000 viable cells/cm2 using media supplemented with RevitaCell™ Supplement for the first 24 hours post-thaw recovery followed by feeding with unsupplemented Essential 8™ Medium will typically reach 80% confluency in <5 days, significantly reducing the average post-thaw recovery time of most cryopreservation solutions. Neurite outgrowth of neurons is also significantly improved using RevitaCell™ Supplement.

CT Supplement Applied Biosystems™

CT Supplement is added to standard Sorbitol MacConkey media (SMAC) to form CT-SMAC. CT-SMAC selects for E.coli 0157 after IMS.

This Product Contains: 1mg Cefixime powder and 50mg Potassium Tellurite powder.

CHO Medium Gibco™

CHO Medium is a high-performance, complete, animal origin-free (AOF) formulation offering high-production yields without the need for further supplementation. This medium is formulated to support cell growth and production of antibodies and recombinant proteins in suspension CHO cell cultures. CHO Medium can be used in various culture vessels in batch, fed-batch, and profusion processes for both research and manufacturing applications.

Trypsin-EDTA (0.25%), phenol red Gibco™

This liquid formulation of trypsin contains EDTA and phenol red. Gibco Trypsin-EDTA is made from trypsin powder, an irradiated mixture of proteases derived from porcine pancreas. Due to its digestive strength, trypsin is widely used for cell dissociation, routine cell culture passaging, and primary tissue dissociation. Quality testing
Gibco Trypsin solutions are tested for pH, osmolality, sterility, and performance. Kanamycin Sulfate Gibco™

Kanamycin Sulfate is a water-soluble antibiotic originally purified from the bacterium Streptomyces kanamyceticus. Kanamycin acts by binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome and inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria. Gibco® Kanamycin is effective against a wide variety of gram-negative and some gram-positive bacteria, and is used for the prevention of bacterial contamination of cell cultures. We offer a variety of antibiotics and antimycotics for cell culture applications.

Phytohemagglutinin, M form (PHA-M) Gibco™

Gibco® Phytohemagglutinin, M form (PHA-M) is a solution made from a crude extract of the red kidney bean Phaseolus vulgaris. This extract is capable of inducing blastogenesis in vitro in various mammalian mononuclear cells when used at a concentration of 1–2% v/v. Each lot of Gibco® Phytohemagglutinin is performance tested at 1.5% using peripheral blood lymphocytes from a normal adult donor cultured for 72 hours in Gibco® RPMI 1640 Medium supplemented with Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS), heparin, antibiotics, and L-glutamine.
