PSC Neural Induction Medium Gibco™

Gibco® PSC Neural Induction Medium is a serum-free medium that provides high efficiency neural induction of human pluripotent stems cells (PSCs) in only 7 days. Unlike existing methodologies, use of PSC Neural Induction Medium does not require the intermediary step of embryoid body (EB) formation, which adds time, labor, and variability. Neural Stem Cells (NSCs) generated using PSC Neural Induction Medium have high expression of NSC markers and can be further differentiated into other neural cell types.

Rapid Induction of NSCs

Scalable Production of NSCs
PSC Neural Induction Medium is a robust medium that has been shown to generate over 20 million NSCs from 1 million PSCs. The medium has been tested with multiple hPSC lines including hiPSCs derived from use of Episomal iPSC Reprogramming Vectors and the CytoTune®-iPS Sendai Reprogramming Kit.

Generation of High Quality NSCs
Neural stem cells generated using PSC Neural Induction Medium have >80% expression of Sox1, Sox2, and Nestin (NSC markers), and <1% expression of Oct4 (pluripotency marker). In addition, expanded NSCs maintained phenotype, exhibited normal karyotype, and could be differentiated into neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes.

N-2 Supplement (100X) Gibco™

N-2 Supplement is a chemically-defined, serum-free supplement based on Bottenstein’s N-1 formulation. It is recommended for growth and expression of neuroblastomas as well as post-mitotic neurons in primary cultures from both the peripheral nervous system and the central nervous system. N-2 Supplement is provided as a 100X concentrate and is intended for use with Neurobasal Medium supplemented with growth factors such as bFGF and EGF. It may also be used with DMEM.

The custom B-27 Supplement (50X) is a serum-free additive for the growth and expansion of retinal ganglion cells. It is supplied as a 50X liquid concentrate and it is used with a basal medium, such as Neurobasal®, and other additives, such as GlutaMAX-1.

CTS™ LV-MAX™ Production Medium Gibco™

Gibco CTS LV-MAX Production Medium is a chemically-defined, serum-free, protein-free medium validated for recombinant lentiviral vector production. In addition to supporting high cell density suspension cultures of CTS Viral Production Cells (HEK293F-derived cells), this medium is suitable for preclinical-, clinical-, and commercial-scale transient transfection and lentiviral production when used with the CTS LV-MAX Transfection Kit. CTS LV-MAX Production Medium undergoes stringent QC testing to ensure it is appropriate for the manufacturing of cell and gene therapy applications.

The formulation of this product is identical to research-grade LV-MAX Production Medium, but CTS LV-MAX Production Medium is validated for clinical and commercial therapeutic applications.

The most cited neuronal cell culture supplement, B-27 Supplement is an optimized serum-free supplement used to support the low- or high-density growth and short- or long-term viability of embryonic, post-natal, and adult hippocampal and other CNS neurons. Rat Fetal Neural Stem Cell Kit Gibco™

Gibco Rat Fetal Neural Stem Cells are isolated and cryopreserved from the cortex of Sprague Dawley Rats at day E14 of gestation. A flexible, ready-to-use, and quality alternative to fresh cells, each vial contains 2 million cells per mL. Upon proliferation in StemPro NSC SFM, >75% of the cells retain their undifferentiated phenotype with the capability to differentiate into neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes.

Gibco Cell Therapy Systems (CTS) AIM-V Medium is the first commercially available, defined, serum-free medium (SFM) for the proliferation and/or manipulation of T cells and dendritic cells manufactured in compliance with cGMP. Immune cell applications
CTS AIM-V Medium is cited in many peer-reviewed journals and used in multiple immune cell clinical applications such as activated dendritic cells. It supports expansion of T cells, T cell subsets, and virus-specific T cells. The medium can also be used to support natural killer cells combined with feeders. Each lot of CTS AIM-V SFM is pre-qualified using Jurkat cells, an immortalized human T lymphocyte line, to help ensure consistent performance.

StemPro®-34 SFM is a serum-free medium specifically formulated to support the development of human hematopoietic cells in culture (1). StemPro®-34 SFM can be used to study hematopoietic cells from bone marrow, peripheral blood, or neonatal cord blood. StemPro®-34 SFM is performance-tested on normal human bone marrow. It is manufactured with components of human, recombinant or synthetic origin.

CTS Essential 6 Medium is a cGMP-manufactured, xeno-free, feeder-free medium that supports the reprogramming of somatic cells and the spontaneous or directed differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells (PSCs). The formulation is based on a medium originally developed by Guokai Chen, et al., in the laboratory of James Thomson (1).
