Remel™ LPM Agar (Lithium chloride, Phenylethyl alcohol, Moxalactam) Thermo Scientific™
Thermo Scientific™ Remel LPM Agar (Lithium chloride, Phenylethyl alcohol, Moxalactam) is used for the selective isolation of Listeria monocytogenes.

Remel™ LSM Agar (Lipase Salt Mannitol) Thermo Scientific™
Thermo Scientific™ Remel LSM Agar (Lipase Salt Mannitol) is used for the isolation and presumptive identification of Staphylococcus aureus.

MacConkey Agar Medium Thermo Scientific™

Remel™ McCarthy Agar Thermo Scientific™
Thermo Scientific™ Remel McCarthy Agar is for the isolation and differentiation of Gardnerella vaginalis.

Middlebrook 7H10 Agar Thermo Scientific™
Cultivate and isolate Mycobacterium species with Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ Middlebrook 7H10 Agar. Based on the formulations developed initially by Dubos and Middlebrook1, and modified by Middlebrook and Cohn2, the Middlebrook 7H10 agar promotes the faster growth of Mycobacterium species and protects tubercle bacilli against a variety of toxic agents1.

Triple Wrap Sterile Pack w/VHP Indicator Sabouraud Dextrose Agar w/Lecithin, Polysorbate 80, Sodium Thiosulphate, L-Histidine Thermo Scientific™

Remel™ CTA w/1% Xylose (Cystine Trypticase Agar) Thermo Scientific™
Thermo Scientific™ Remel CTA with 1% Xylose (Cystine Trypticase Agar) is used for determination of fermentation reactions by fastidious microorganisms, such as Neisseria, pneumococci, streptococci and non-spore forming anaerobes.

Remel™ MacConkey Agar w/MUG Thermo Scientific™
Thermo Scientific™ Remel MacConkey Agar w/MUG is used for isolation and presumptive identification of Escherichia coli by a fluorogenic assay procedure.

Remel™ Settling Plate Sterile Tryptic Soy Agar (Irradiated) Thermo Scientific™

Middlebrook 7H11 Agar Thermo Scientific™
Isolate and cultivate Mycobacterium species with Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ Middlebrook 7H11 Agar. Middlebrook 7H11 Agar is a modification of 7H9 and 7H10 media by Middlebrook. Casein hydrolysate was incorporated into this modified medium to stimulate the growth of mycobacteria that would not otherwise grow on this medium. Malachite-green dye is incorporated as a selective agent which inhibits bacteria other than mycobacteria.

Remel™ Indole Nitrate Medium (Tryptone Nitrate Medium) Thermo Scientific™
Thermo Scientific™ Remel Indole Nitrate Medium (Tryptone Nitrate Medium) is for the determination of indole production and nitrate reduction by microorganisms.

Triple Wrap Sterile Pack w/VHP Indicator Tryptone Soya Agar Thermo Scientific™

CTA Base Control with Ascitic Fluid (Cystine Trypticase Agar) is a control for CTA Media with Ascitic Fluid. Thermo Scientific™

Mycobiotic Agar (Mycocel Agar) with Chloramphenicol and Cycloheximide Thermo Scientific™
Isolate and cultivate pathogenic fungi, especially from clinical specimens which may be contaminated with bacteria and saprophytic fungi with Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ Mycobiotic Agar (Mycocel Agar) with Chloramphenicol and Cycloheximide. Leach, Ford and Whiffen described the use of cycloheximide as a selective agent for the inhibition of saprophytic fungi1. Researchers later found that the addition of both cycloheximide and chloramphenicol achieved more complete selectivity against growth of saprophytic fungi and bacteria2.

MacConkey Agar with Sorbitol Thermo Scientific™
Selectively detect sorbitol negative Escherichia coli from clinical specimens with Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ MacConkey Agar with Sorbitol prepared media plates. The medium is recommended for the isolation of verotoxin-producing E.coli O157: H7. Unlike most serotypes of E.coli, verotoxin-producing E.coli O157: H7 does not ferment sorbitol and, therefore, produces colorless colonies. In contrast, most E.coli strains ferment sorbitol and form pink colonies.
