Benefits of MagMAX magnetic bead-based purification:
Magnetic beads offer many benefits compared to other technologies for isolating RNA. Beads bind RNA more efficiently than glass fiber filters, resulting in higher and more consistent RNA yields. Additionally, because filters are not used, there is no risk of filter clogging due to cellular particulates in samples. Since only a small volume of magnetic beads is needed for high-efficiency binding, the bound RNA can be eluted in just 20–50 µL of nuclease-free water, concentrating RNA from large, dilute samples.

Optimized for isolation of virus from biofluids
The MagMAX Viral RNA Isolation Kit has been optimized for use with biological fluids and cell-free samples such as serum, plasma, swabs, and cell culture media. These samples often present unique challenges when purifying RNA, including low viral titers, large volumes to be processed, and sample complexity. Without the need for organic solvents or RNA precipitation, the MagMAX Viral RNA Isolation Kit eliminates the problems often encountered with other RNA isolation methods such filter clogging, large elution volumes, and inconsistent yields. With this kit, DNA and RNA input levels ranging from 20 copies to 25 x 106 copies have been quantitatively recovered from plasma, serum, and milk. Accessory Products:
This kit is optimized for automated nucleic acid purification using KingFisher magnetic particle processors. This kit can also be used for manual nucleic acid purification using a 96-well magnetic ring stand. The Magnetic Stand-96 (Cat. No. AM10027) and the 96-well Magnetic Ring Stand (Cat. No. AM10050) are designed for paramagnetic bead precipitation from standard 96-well, U-bottom microplates. The Magnetic-Ring Stand pellets the magnetic beads in a circle shape, enabling easy removal of supernatant by a robot or multichannel pipettors.

Benefits of MagMAX magnetic bead–based purification
The magnetic bead–based purification format of the kit allows for easy scaling of the number of samples processed either manually with a magnetic stand or with a magnetic particle processor such as the KingFisher Duo Prime or KingFisher Flex processors.

Magnetic beads offer many benefits compared to other technologies for isolating nucleic acids. Beads bind the RNA and DNA more efficiently than glass fiber filters, resulting in higher and more consistent yields. Additionally, because filters and vacuum manifolds are not used, there is no risk of undigested tissue particulates clogging these items during the extraction process. Qubit™ microRNA Assay Kit Invitrogen™

The Qubit microRNA Assay Kit allows easy and accurate quantification of microRNA (miRNA) using the Qubit Fluorometer, even in the presence of common contaminants such as salts, free nucleotides, solvents, detergents, and protein. The assay is highly selective for miRNA over rRNA or large mRNA (>1000 bp). Although the reagent is not exclusively selective for miRNA, we have been able to reproducibly quantify miRNA in pure samples at levels as low as 0.5 ng in the assay tube following the supplied protocol below, even in the presence of mRNA.

Features of Qubit microRNA assay:
• Accurately detects as little as 0.5 ng miRNA in the assay tube
• Core dynamic range of 5–500 ng/mL
• Accurate results for sample concentrations from 50 ng/mL to 100 µg/mL

The Qubit microRNA Assay Kit provides concentrated assay reagent, dilution buffer, and pre-diluted miRNA standards. Simply dilute the reagent using the buffer provided, add your sample (any volume between 1 µL and 20 µL is acceptable), and read the concentration using the Qubit Fluorometer. Because the assay tolerates 1–20 µL of sample in an assay volume of 200 µL, accurate results can be obtained for initial sample concentrations from 50 ng/mL–100 µg/mL.

The PicoPure® RNA Isolation Kit is engineered to recover high-quality total RNA consistently from fewer than ten cells. The improved version of the MagMAX™ Viral RNA Isolation Kit provides better viral particle lysis and more effective recovery of both viral RNA and DNA from a variety of cell-free biological samples, including plasma, sera, and swabs. The results of these changes are improved yields and reproducibility.

The MagMAX™ Viral RNA Isolation Kit can efficiently isolate viral RNA and DNA from samples as large as 400 µl. RNA and DNA recovery is typically greater than 75%, but may vary depending on sample type. The RNA recovered with the kit is of high quality and purity and is suitable for real-time RT-PCR.
