Yttrium (Y)

One of the rare earth elements, yttrium ([Kr]4d15s2) (CAS 7440-65-5)  is found in nearly all rare earth minerals. It is also quite prevalent in lunar rock samples. Yttrium is a lustrous, silvery-to-dark gray metal that darkens with exposure to light. Its solid form is relatively stable in air.
