RiboRuler High Range RNA Ladder (Thermo Scientific™)

Thermo Scientific RiboRuler High Range RNA Ladder 200 to 6000 bases is a mixture of 8 chromatography purified single-stranded RNA transcripts (200 to 6000 bp long), produced from specific templates that contain a fragment of the pTZ19R polylinker and Lambda phage fragments.

The RiboRuler High Range RNA Ladder is available in 1 mM EDTA, pH 6.0.

RiboRuler High Range RNA Ladder is composed of chromatography-purified transcripts that makes them free from NTPs and RNA degradation products. The concentration of each RNA transcript is determined spectrophotometrically. To minimize the possibility of contamination during the use, the ladder is aliquotted in smaller volumes.

RiboRuler High Range RNA Ladder is optimal for end-labeling using T4 Polynucleotide Kinase (see protocol in the Resources) and is ideal for Northern blots.

Thermo Scientific RiboRuler Low Range RNA Ladder is a mixture of seven single-stranded RNA transcripts ranging from 100 to 1000 bp. They are chromatography-purified and produced from specific templates that contain a fragment of the pTZ19R polylinker and Lambda phage fragments, making them free from NTPs and RNA degradation products. The concentration of each RNA transcript is determined spectrophotometrically. To minimize the possibility of contamination during use, the ladder is aliquotted in smaller volumes.

Decade™ Markers System (to make radiolabeled RNA markers) (Invitrogen™)

The Ambion® Decade™ Marker System produces a set of radiolabeled RNA molecules of 150, 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, and 10 nucleotides. The molecular weight markers are ideally suited for experiments where RNA molecules less than 150 nucleotides in length are being studied. Sufficient reagents are provided for 10 marker preparation reactions. This marker set is particularly useful for research laboratories studying tRNA, snRNA, snoRNA, miRNA, siRNA and other small RNA molecules. The system includes all of the reagents necessary to produce the molecular weight markers except gamma-32P-ATP. The Decade™ Markers derive from a single, gel-purified transcript that is provided. The transcript is 5' end-labeled using the kinase and kinase buffer supplied with the kit. The kinase reaction is then diluted into a cleavage reagent that generates the molecular weight marker set in a five minute, room temperature reaction. Gel loading buffer from the kit is then added and the marker is ready for electrophoresis. The labeling, cleavage, and gel preparation steps can be completed in less than an hour.

RiboRuler Low Range RNA Ladder, ready-to-use (Thermo Scientific™)

Thermo Scientific RiboRuler Low Range RNA Ladder 100-1000 bp, ready-to-use, is a mixture of 7 chromatography purified single-stranded RNA transcripts (100–1000 bp long), produced from specific templates that contain a fragment of the pTZ19R polylinker and Lambda phage fragments.

This ladder is premixed with loading dye.

RNA Century™-Plus Marker Templates (Invitrogen™)

Ambion® Century™-Plus Marker Templates contain mixtures of linearized plasmids ready for use as templates in in vitro transcription reactions for synthesis of labeled RNA molecular size standards. One tube containing 5 μg (0.5 mg⁄mL) is provided. When transcribed with T7 RNA polymerase, the templates produce 7 RNA transcripts with lengths of 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 750, and 1,000 bases. They can be labeled with radioisotopes, biotin, or other nonisotopic modified nucleotides. They are ideal as size standards for ribonuclease protection assays and other applications where a low molecular weight RNA ladder is useful.

RNA Century™ Marker Templates (Invitrogen™)

Ambion® Century™ Marker Templates contain mixtures of linearized plasmids ready for use as templates in in vitro transcription reactions for synthesis of labeled RNA molecular size standards. When transcribed with T7 RNA polymerase, the templates produce 5 RNA transcripts with the lengths of 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 bases. They can be labeled with radioisotopes, biotin, or other nonisotopic modified nucleotides. They are ideal as size standards for ribonuclease protection assays and other applications where a low molecular weight RNA ladder is useful.

RNA 6000 Ladder (Invitrogen™)

The Ambion® RNA 6000 Ladder is a set of six RNA transcripts with lengths of 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, and 6.0 kb. The 0.2 kb band is at a concentration of 20 ng/ µL (A260). The RNA 6000 Ladder is designed for use with Agilent's lab-on-a-chip. Three tubes containing 20 µL each are provided. 150 ng (1 µL) will generate 6 distinct bands when run on a RNA Labchip™ using the Total RNA or mRNA assay.

Millennium™ RNA Markers-Formamide (Invitrogen™)

The Ambion® Millennium™ Markers-Formamide are designed to provide accurate size determination of single-stranded RNA transcripts from 0.5 to 9 kb and can be used in any Northern protocol. Sufficient markers are provided for 25 Northern gel lanes. They are a mixture of 10 discrete RNA transcripts with easy-to-remember sizes: 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9 kilobases. The markers are supplied in formamide and show increased stability and resistance to RNase compared to other large molecular weight RNA markers. They may be stained with ethidium bromide either during or after electrophoresis. Because of their quantity and even spacing, these markers are ideal for constructing very accurate standard curves for mRNA size determination. They also provide a reference scale for easy verification and comparison of known bands. 1-2 µg (1-2 µl) of RNA Millennium™ Markers will generate 10 distinct bands on a 1% denaturing agarose gel with ethidium bromide staining. All marker lots undergo stringent nuclease testing and are shown to be stable overnight at 37°C.

Ambion® RNA Century™-Plus Markers are a set of 7 in vitro transcripts of 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 750, and 1000 bases. They are unlabeled for staining with EtBr and are provided in one tube containing 50 µg at a concentration of 1 mg/mL. They are premixed to give equivalent staining on a 5% polyacrylamide/8 M urea gel and are useful as RNA size standards in denaturing gel electrophoresis. 1–2 µg (2–4 µL) markers will generate 7 distinct bands on a TBE-Urea acrylamide gel with EtBr staining. Markers are also tested to be nuclease-free and stable overnight at 37°C.
