NSE Human ProcartaPlex™ Simplex Kit Invitrogen™

The Human NSE Simplex ProcartaPlex kit measures NSE protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits so that you can create your own multiplex panel that utilizes Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection/quantitation. When combining multiple Simplex kits (i.e., when you are not using a pre-configured Multiplex Panel), only one buffer kit (sold separately) is needed for each assay plate regardless of plex size.

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the principles of a sandwich ELISA, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate up to 80 protein targets simultaneously when using the FLEXMAP 3D or Luminex 200 instrument and up to 50 protein targets when using the MAGPIX instrument. ProcartaPlex assays require as little as 25 µL of plasma or serum, or 50 µL of cell culture supernatant, and just four hours to obtain analyzed results.

The Luminex MagPlex superparamagnetic microsphere beads in the ProcartaPlex assay are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create 100 spectrally unique signatures that can be identified by the Luminex xMAP detec¬tion systems (Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, and MAGPIX systems). Similar to a sandwich ELISA, the ProcartaPlex assay uses matched antibody pairs to identify the protein of interest. In a ProcartaPlex multiplex assay, each spectrally unique bead is labeled with antibodies specific for a single target protein, and bound proteins are identified with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE). The conjugation of protein-specific antibodies to a distinct bead allows for analysis of multiple targets in a single well.

The most significant difference between a ProcartaPlex assay and ELISA is that the capture antibody in the ProcartaPlex assay is conjugated to a magnetic bead and not adsorbed to the microplate well, so the ProcartaPlex assay reagents are free-floating in the solution. For detection, the Luminex 200 instrument, for example, contains two lasers, one to distinguish the spectral signature of each bead and the second to quantify the amount of RPE fluorescence, which is proportional to the amount of protein present in the sample. ProcartaPlex multiplex assays can profile up to 80 times more target proteins using significantly less sample in the same time that it takes to perform a traditional sandwich ELISA.

TrueCut Cas9 Protein (Prototype) is a Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 (wt) protein, produced by recombinant DNA technology in E. coli for genome editing with CRISPR technology. MagMAX™ Plant DNA Isolation Kit Applied Biosystems™

The MagMAX™ Plant DNA Isolation Kit is designed for automated high-throughput or manual purification of DNA from a wide variety of plant species. The kit uses MagMAX magnetic bead technology, eliminating the need for phenol/chloroform extraction or alcohol precipitation. The procedures are optimized for the isolation of DNA from 10–100 mg plant samples. DNA yields vary between different species and tissues depending on genome size, ploidy, cell number, age of tissue sample, and storage conditions.

The MagMAX Plant DNA Isolation Kit relies on magnetic bead technology, enabling reproducible yields and robust performance. High binding capacity, uniform particle size, and rapid magnetic response of the beads makes the technology ideal for automated high-throughput nucleic acid purification, as well as for manual purification for low sample throughput. The resulting high-quality DNA is free of proteins, nucleases, and other contaminants or inhibitors, and can be used in a wide range of downstream applications such as PCR, qPCR, or next-generation sequencing. Benefits of MagMAX magnetic bead–based purification
The magnetic bead–based purification format of the kit allows for easy scaling of the number of samples processed either manually with a magnetic stand or with a magnetic particle processor such as the KingFisher™ Duo Prime or KingFisher™ Flex processors.

Magnetic beads offer many benefits compared to other technologies for isolating nucleic acids. Beads bind the RNA and DNA more efficiently than glass fiber filters, resulting in higher and more consistent yields. Additionally, because filters and vacuum manifolds are not used, there is no risk of undigested tissue particulates clogging these items during the extraction process. This clogging issue is of particular concern with fibrous plant tissue samples that that are not fully lysed during the disruption and homogenization steps.

Optimized bead surface chemistry
The Dynabeads™ MyOne™ Carboxylic Acid utilized in the MagMAX Plant DNA Kit has an optimized surface chemistry with high specific surface area that allows efficient kinetics and high sensitivity in nucleic acid capture. These aspects make Dynabeads magnetic technology ideal for the recovery of the DNA targets found in a variety of plant samples. Once captured, the DNA is then eluted in 150 µL and ready for downstream applications.

PGD-SEQ™ HBA1/HBA2 Panel and Reagent Kit Ion Torrent™

The PGD-SEQ HBA1/HBA2 Panel and Reagent Kit provides all the materials necessary to amplify single nucleotide variant (SNV) linkage markers used to resolve the parental mutated and healthy alleles flanking the HBA1/HBA2 gene locus in order to research monogenic disease specific to a particular family.

PGD-SEQ kits enable simultaneous detection of informative SNVs surrounding pathogenic variants such as SNVs, insertion/deletions (INDELs), copy number variants (CNVs), and triplet repeat expansion mutations. With dozens of markers, the PGD-SEQ approach reduces the risk of mistyping due to allelic dropout and can be used to classify each sample as affected, carrier, or unaffected. In addition, direct targeting of SNV or INDEL pathogenic variants can be included in the linkage marker assay.

When used with Ion GeneStudio S5 Series or Ion PGM sequencing systems, PGD-SEQ kits enable a simple, end-to-end workflow that includes preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic/single-gene defects (PGT-M) and preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies (PGT-A) in the same next-generation sequencing (NGS) run. Brain Injury 5-plex Human ProcartaPlex™ Panel Invitrogen™

The Human Brain Injury 5-plex ProcartaPlex Panel is a preconfigured multiplex immunoassay kit that measures 5 protein targets using Luminex xMAP technology. ProcartaPlex preconfigured panels are supplied with all the necessary reagents to perform the assay and are validated to ensure reproducibility and consistency. These panels are designed for those who need greater validation for longitudinal studies.

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the principles of a sandwich ELISA, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate all protein targets simultaneously using a Luminex instrument. The Luminex MagPlex superparamagnetic microsphere beads in the ProcartaPlex assay are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create 100 spectrally unique signatures that can be identified by the Luminex xMAP detec¬tion systems (Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, and MAGPIX systems). Similar to a sandwich ELISA, the ProcartaPlex assay uses matched antibody pairs to identify the protein of interest. In a multiplexed assay, each spectrally unique bead is labeled with antibodies specific for a single target protein, and bound proteins are identified with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE). The conjugation of protein-specific antibodies to a distinct bead allows for analysis of multiple targets in a single well.

The most significant difference between a ProcartaPlex assay and ELISA is that the capture antibody in the ProcartaPlex assay is conjugated to a magnetic bead and not adsorbed to the microplate well, so the ProcartaPlex assay reagents are free-floating in the solution. For detection, the Luminex 200 instrument, for example, contains two lasers, one to distinguish the spectral signature of each bead and the second to quantify the amount of RPE fluorescence, which is proportional to the amount of protein present in the sample. ProcartaPlex multiplex assays can profile more target proteins using significantly less sample in the same time that it takes to perform a traditional sandwich ELISA.
