Save samples and bench space
The thoughtfully designed Qubit 4 Fluorometer requires samples of only 1–20 µL. It is intended for use at room temperature and occupies only a small amount of bench space. The Qubit 4 Fluorometer features advanced optics and data analysis algorithms, and comes equipped with a WiFi dongle, a USB thumb drive, and cable for data transfer to Excel™ software and for software downloads, as well as a universal power supply, four plug adapters, and electromagnetic CE certification. The Qubit 4 Fluorometer enables maximum flexibility for data export using WiFi, USB drive, or USB cable direct to computer. Additionally, all data can be saved in the Qubit cloud application, including direct transfer from the instrument via WiFi.

Single sample measurements are a breeze
This user-friendly fluorometer is combined with quick and simple assay procedures. Calculations and settings are automatically performed by the instrument. The Qubit assays for use with the Qubit 4 Fluorometer are all performed using the same general protocol, which uses a simple mix-and-read format with incubation times of only two minutes for the DNA and RNA assays. 500 L thin-walled PCR tubes (Cat. No. Q32856) are required.

Pierce™ Protein Concentrators PES, 50K MWCO, 20–100 mL (Thermo Scientific™)

Thermo Scientific Pierce Protein Concentrators PES are disposable ultrafiltration centrifugal devices with a polyethersulfone (PES) membrane for concentration, desalting, and buffer exchange of biological samples. This product has a molecular weight cutoff (MWCO) of 50K and can be used for processing sample volumes ranging from 20 to 100 mL.

Rapid protein concentration—sample concentration of 10- to 30-fold can be achieved in 5 to 30 minutes for 50K MWCO (time may vary for a product with a different MWCO)

For easy identification, the MWCO value is etched on the side of each device. To assist with sample addition and recovery, a clear window with graduations is located on the side of each device enabling visual determination of the retentate volume. The vertical design of the membrane allows high flux rates, low nonspecific binding, and negligible protein aggregation on the membrane; and it offers reliable and consistent results.

Pierce Protein Concentrators PES contain a membrane rated for retaining molecules with a molecular weight at least 2-fold greater than the MWCO rating of the PES membrane within the device. Reduced recovery may occur when using a concentrator with molecules smaller than the recommended mass. Protein recovery will vary depending on the specific protein in the sample and its starting concentration. To achieve >90% recovery of protein, the minimum protein sample concentration should be 0.1 mg/mL.

ProcartaPlex Platinum Assay Buffer for Plasma Samples is used for dilution of plasma samples and gives spike- and dilution-recovery results in the range of 70–130%.
