Expi293 Met (–) Expression Medium is a cGMP-manufactured, chemically defined, serum-free, protein-free, animal origin-free, methionine-free medium for growth and transfection of Expi293F cells. The medium is part of the Expi293 platform for rapid, high-yield transient protein expression from mammalian HEK293 cells. It is designed for use in combination with the ExpiFectamine 293 Met (–) Transfection Kit for applications where labelling of methionine residues in proteins is desired. Note: the medium will not support cell growth or expression unless supplemented with methionine.

Expi293 Met (–) Expression Medium features include:
• Supports growth of suspension 293 cultures to densities of over 1.5 x 107 cells/mL

The CMAC peptidase substrate, t-BOC-Leu-Met can be used to measure peptidase activity in solution or in live cells. The substrate has an excitation/emission maxima ~330/403. After cleavage by peptidases, the product produces blue-fluorescence with excitation/emission maxima ~351/430.

MET (cMET) Y1235D Recombinant Human Protein (Invitrogen™)

This MET (cMET) Y1235D recombinant human protein (956–end) was expressed in insect cells. MET receptor tyrosine kinase is a proto-oncogene that encodes a transmembrane growth factor receptor which is a heterodimer of two disulphide linked chains of 50 kDa (alpha) and 145 kDa (beta). MET is widely expressed in the kidney, brain, lung, skin, and embryonic tissue. Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) binds to MET and activates its tyrosine kinase activity. MET is overexpressed and activated in a variety of human cancers including pancreatic, colon, gastric, cervical and ovarian cancers and has been shown to be involved in tumor cell migration and invasion. MET (Y1235D) is one of the native mutant forms of MET. MET (cMET) Y1235D recombinant human protein is also available in our SelectScreen™ Kinase Profiling Service.
