Application Note: Detection of Lipoic Acid and Dihydrolipoic Acid in Food Supplements Using HPLC-ECD Product Literature

What alternative product do you recommend for Bacto Tryptone (Cat. No. 211699, 211701, 211705)? Product FAQ

Answer

We have several casein digests that could serve as alternatives to Bactone Tryptone (Cat. No. 211699, 211791, 211705), including Bacto Casitone (Cat. No. 225930, 225910), Difco Tryptone Peptone (Cat. No. 21921, 211922, 211923), BiTek Tryptone (Cat. No. 251420). However, the digestion and nutritive profile of each peptone are different, therefore there may be differences in bacterial growth or supplementation ability. We recommend empirically determining the performance of alternative casein digestion in your application.
