Can electronic pipettes be used in the CytoScan assay instead of multichannel manual pipettes? Product FAQ

Answer

Pipetting viscous solutions using electronic pipettes may be very challenging and result in ineffective pipetting that could contribute to overall poor QC values. Therefore, the use of electronic pipettes is not recommended.

Are the NuPAGE Midi Gels compatible with multichannel pipettes? Product FAQ

Answer

Multichannel pipette compatibility: 12+2-well (8- and 12-channel pipette-compatible) and 26-well (8- and 12-channel pipette-compatible).
The 12-channel pipettes work with the 26-well gels. You will need to alternate lanes (e.g., aligns with every two lanes). There will be two extra lanes (for MW markers). The 12-channel pipettes work with the 12+2 well gels as well.

How do I pipette small volumes in the Easy-Titer Antibody Assay? Product FAQ

Answer

The assay method requires many-fold dilution of sample (so that the target immunoglobulin is at 5-500 ng/mL). To obtain accurate results, this dilution must be done carefully. Use properly matched pipette sizes (e.g., do not use a 200 µl pipette to measure 10 µl) and make the dilution in two or three steps (e.g., 10-fold times 10-fold)

Are the MagniSort magnetic beads large, should I cut the tips of pipets to pipet the beads? Product FAQ

Answer

The magnetic beads are much smaller than eukaryotic cells, therefore, any pipet that can be used to pipet eukaryotic cells can be used to pipet the beads.
