Can I store the reconstituted solution of protease, phosphatase and (protease and phosphatase) inhibitor tablet or mini tablet and if so, for how long? Product FAQ

Answer

The Pierce protease, phosphatase, as well as (protease and phosphatase) inhibitor tablets and mini tablets are stable for at least one year when stored at 4 degrees C, but we only recommend preparing fresh solutions just before needed. If you are interested in liquid protease or phosphatase inhibitors, please use our inhibitor cocktails (https://www.thermofisher.com/search/results?query=protease%20inhibitor%20cocktails&focusarea=Search%20All).

After an immunoprecipitation (IP), why is my eluted antigen not functional in the downstream application? Product FAQ

Answer

It's possible that your antigen is sensitive to low pH and has become inactive during the elution process. Try neutralizing the antigen-containing solution as soon as possible after you collect it. If this does not preserve the functionality of the antigen, repeat the IP, but use a high-salt, neutral pH elution buffer, such as the Gentle Elution Buffer (Cat. No. 21027). Refer to this Tech Tip (https://www.thermofisher.com/search/results?query=TR0027&focusarea=Search%20All) for suggestions on formulations for other elution buffers.
