How the kit works:

1. Samples are added to the specific antigen-coated microplate. If present in the sample, specific anti-pathogen antibodies bind to the antigen and form antigen-antibody complexes.
2 . After washing, an anti-pathogen peroxidase-labeled conjugate is added, which binds to any remaining unbound antigen.
3 . After a second washing, a chromogenic substrate is added. Color development results from oxidation of the substrate by the conjugated peroxidase.
4 . After stopping the reaction, results are read using an ELISA plate reader. Positive samples will show relatively weak or no color.
