Abstract: Affymetrix, now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, is a pioneer in providing high throughput genomic microarray solutions that empower researchers to perform not only cutting edge basic research but also to translate their discoveries into clinical practice. A flexible and cost effective solutions for gene expression analysis, genotyping and high resolution cytogenetic analysis with more than 30000 peer reviewed articles have been published using these solutions creating significant impact on medical practice in the form of gene signatures applicable in cancer management and genetic associations in complex metabolic as well as developmental disorders.
