The analysis of complex dietary supplements made from natural botanical extracts and concentrates are analytically challenging, more so than products containing purified synthetic vitamins isolated in excipients. Successful approaches involve targeted extraction approaches, novel clean up procedures and steps to prevent analyte degradation. Additional challenges are presented by variable encapsulation processes used to stabilize some raw material actives, natural biological variance in some extracts and variance introduced during tablet or capsule production.

Vanquish Flex & Vanquish Neo UHPLC Systems
For analyses that require more flexibility to accommodate all applications, Thermo Scientific Vanquish Flex UHPLC systems enable you to increase your productivity and drive innovation without compromising quality. Whether you need an LC or LC-MS solution, the flexibility of the Vanquish Flex systems with binary or quaternary solvent blending provides the most advanced performance through better separations, more results and easier interaction. Like all members of our Vanquish product line, Vanquish Flex UHPLC systems offer hardware precision, detector sensitivity, and simplicity of operation.
Orbitrap Exploris 120 Mass Spectrometer
The Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Exploris 120 MS enables users to better resolve an ion of interest from an interfering ion in their sample with its market-leading resolution. Integration to a solid set of data analysis tools (e.g., Thermo Scientific mzCloud, mzVault, mzLogic) makes it faster and easier for our customers to identify unknown compounds. For laboratories working in complex sample matrices with notable interferences, more accurate quantitation can be performed with the Orbitrap Exploris 120 MS using the superior mass accuracy of Thermo Scientific Orbitrap technology. Thus, this capability also enables users to save time optimizing their LC conditions.
Orbitrap Exploris GC Mass Spectrometer
Simplify operations and deliver consistently accurate results in analytical testing using the Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Exploris GC Mass Spectrometer. This GC-MS system offers a unique depth of analysis and unparalleled accuracy and precision to improve everyday quantitation, screening and sample profiling. It provides the flexibility to keep pace with ever-changing regulations and explore new analytical opportunities through increased scope and method consolidation. Simple instrument set up and intelligent informatics enable users of all abilities to easily access data-rich information.
Combustion Ion Chromatography (CIC) System
The Thermo Scientific Combustion Ion Chromatography (CIC) System performs automated qualitative and quantitative analysis of halogens and sulfur in difficult samples. This automated system is sensitive, easy to use, saves time and its sample preparation procedure produces fewer environmental contaminants than other sample preparation techniques, such as acid digestions or back extractions from organic solutions.
PCR
Real-time PCR, also known as quantitative PCR (qPCR), is the gold-standard for sensitive, specific detection and quantification of nucleic acid targets. We developed powerful assay design algorithms, optimized master mixes, created intuitive data analysis software, and built smart instrumentation to help harness the power of real-time PCR across a rich and diverse set of applications. However, our solutions go a step further: every product has been designed with efficiency baked in. And together they work synergistically to bring you a simpler, more flexible, and highly efficient real-time PCR workflow.
