Staying ahead of the challenges of pesticides residues analysis using a new triple quadrupole GC-MS

Food manufacturers must test their raw materials to ensure they are free from pesticides in order to protect consumers. Testing botanical matrices can be particularly challenging due to complex matrix interferences. In this presentation, an expert from NOW foods will review current regulatory requirements for pesticides in food. The workflow for pesticides analysis using Thermo Fisher Scientific equipment will be discussed. Examples of pesticide analysis in various botanical matrices will be shown. Data from the new Thermo Scientific GC-MS/MS system will be reviewed to show how the challenges of the analysis are resolved utilizing unique technology features.
