Join us on October 4, 2022, for an open house

Want to learn how cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) can help reveal structural features of your targets and build a drug discovery campaign? At this open house, you’ll have the chance to tour an industrial cryo-EM laboratory and discuss cryo-EM workflows, technologies, skill sets, challenges, and opportunities with pioneers in the field.

The biopharmaceutical community has rapidly adopted cryo-EM as a technique that can transform their thinking about structures and biology—particularly for challenging, previously intractable targets such as GPCRs, ion channels, heterogeneous complexes, and PROTACs.

Whether you’re interested in trying cryo-EM for a new project or considering how to bring it into your lab, this event has something for everyone.

  • NanoImaging Services (NIS), the largest provider of dedicated cryo-EM services in North America, is opening the doors to its newest Boston-area site for the first time. See their microscopes and laboratory and talk with their scientists, including Dr. Giovanna Scapin, NIS’s Chief Scientific Officer, who was an early adopter of cryo-EM in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Thermo Fisher Scientific’s cryo-EM application specialists will be on site to showcase the Thermo Scientific Glacios Cryo-Transmission Electron Microscopes available at NIS and answer your questions about the process of bringing cryo-EM into your lab.
