Life sciences demonstrations

The Thermo Scientific Helios 5 Hydra PFIB-SEM delivers multiple ion species for 3D EM and TEM sample preparation.
See demonstration times on form below | Thermo Fisher Scientific, Booth #117

The demo will show the use of the Helios 5 Hydra PFIB-SEM for preparing and imaging a volume of mouse brain at room temperature using our Auto Slice and View (ASV) technology. We will use one of 4 plasma ion species to prepare the sample.

Surrounding this we will discuss how the system can be used both in both cryogenic and room-temperature workflows, its ability to correlate fluorescence microscopy data with EM data (within the chamber) and the use of the new "spin mill" milling strategy for opening wider volumes allowing quick access to areas of interest for subsequent high resolution imaging.
