Dr. Rontree leads product marketing for scanning electron microscopes at Thermo Fisher Scientific. With over 20 years of experience in analytical instrumentation, she has built a distinguished career across various roles in leading scientific instrument and pharmaceutical organizations. She has worked as a scientific researcher, business development manager, and marketing manager. Her expertise lies in electron microscopy and mass spectrometry, and she is passionate about bringing new products to market, developing effective marketing strategies, and collaborating with customers to leverage innovative technology. Dr. Rontree holds a degree in chemical engineering and earned her PhD in organic chemistry and mass spectrometry from Bielefeld University.
Dr. Scarpellini is an applications development scientist for SEMs, focusing material science. With a background as an engineer, she is dedicated to in-depth material characterization and addressing the specific needs of customers. With over a decade of experience in utilizing a range of analytical techniques, including SEM, FIB, and EDS, she has established herself as an expert in the field. In recent years, Dr. Scarpellini has focused her efforts on SEM and EDS applications, particularly for the industrial sector, where she has played a crucial role in supporting sales and marketing campaigns. With her extensive knowledge and expertise, she is a valuable asset in driving innovation and delivering exceptional results for the Apreo, Axia, and Quattro Instruments.
