At SMMAP 2017, we continue to innovate to provide innovative mass spectrometry solutions, from our groundbreaking HRAM Orbitrap instruments to our most sensitive triple quadrupole MS systems, to help you deliver results not previously possible. Whether you are conducting leading edge biological research, translational medicine, or food and environmental analysis, come and meet our scientists and representatives to discuss how our mass spectrometry systems deliver the highest quality data that takes you beyond the edge of possible
Register today for our vendor seminar "Orbitrap MS- Continuing to Push the Boundaries of Omics Research" on Tuesday, October 3rd.
Talk 1: Speeding up Biomarker Discovery: Advanced Translational Proteomics Workflow with High Resolution Accurate Mass (HRAM) MS
Claire Dauly, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Diseases like cancer are complex – and require another level of discipline in analytical measurements. Having set the standards for discovery research with deep comprehensive proteome profiles, new advances in Orbitrap technology and workflows allow for large scale analysis across large sample numbers. In this seminar, we will share the new technologies and approaches that deliver the quantitative sensitivity and accuracy, throughput, robustness and reproducibility with the confidence to deliver rigorous results that matter.
Talk 2: Ion chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry: a powerful tool for the analysis of metabolism
Floriant Bellvert, Platform MetaToul, LISBP - INSA de Toulouse
The study of the central and energetic metabolism requires a chromatographic separation which only the ion chromatography makes it possible to solve in particular the separation of the hexose phosphates. Coupled with the high-resolution mass spectrometry offered by the Orbitrap technology, it is possible to access both the absolute quantification of metabolites and the analysis of mass isotopologues after labeling experiment, two essential elements for metabolic flux analysis.
