Qualification services

You can add qualification services to complement your service plan. Instrument hardware qualifications include instrument qualification (IQ) and operational qualification (OQ) to document and verify that instruments are installed and operating according to manufacturer’s specifications.

IQ: provides documented evidence and verification that the instrument has been delivered and installed according to manufacturer’s specifications

OQ: provides documented verification that the instrument subsystems are operating as designed. Verifies that the functionality of an instrument meets the manufacturer’s operational specifications.

IQ and OQ are recommended at installation and when moving the instrument. Our qualification specialists will partner with you to deliver timely, cost-effective, and trusted qualification services that include reliable, audit-style documentation that will help ensure your instruments meet regulatory requirements.

AB qualification service

This provides a second Operational Qualification service visit with an on-site Field Service Engineer (FSE) within 2 years of installation. This would be required after major Preventative Maintenance, an instrument move, or other significant change. The FSE runs prescribed tests using a protocol designed to challenge the operating parameters of the instrument to ensure it functions within design specifications. The FSE evaluates and documents the test results and then determines pass/fail. Upon receiving a pass result, the FSE verifies the instrument is operating within manufacturer’s design specifications. AB Qualification documentation provided may be included in a device history file to be referenced during audits and inspections as part of risk mitigation strategies.

Training services

Our technical services, field engineering and training teams are fully committed to ensure your success using the CTS Rotea Counterflow Centrifugation System. Because we know that speed is of the essence, we’re offering protocol development assistance to help ensure that your team has control over your protocols and the speed of your process development.

SmartStart training program

Virtual and in-person trainings are available for your lab. A two-day SmartStart on-site training course (virtual or on-site training) comes standard with the product and is designed to introduce you to the operation of the CTS Rotea Counterflow Centrifugation System and help enable your success. The course is designed to train all team members who will be using the CTS Rotea system.

Led by professional Field Application Scientists, the training provides interactive education that includes theoretical protocol writing and hands-on training. The training includes a line-by-line analysis of each of your protocols, so that you are prepared to modify your own protocols when needed.

Post-sale Field Application Scientist training

Thermo Fisher Scientific continues to provide post-sale support through our extensive Field Application Scientist network who are available for further protocol development assistance. Field Application Scientists train in your lab and cover a variety of topics regarding the instrument, software and applications. Contact your local Field Application Scientist for additional training.
