Battery performance is linked to a host of parameters, including elemental composition. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry is the technique of choice when reliable and accurate elemental analysis of the bulk sample is needed. This webcast explores how XRF is used for quality and process control in the battery value chain. We will show examples from cathode manufacturing, where the composition control of the cathode is used to tune performance as well as cost, and from battery recycling, where the elemental analysis of black mass is at the beginning of the recovery process.
