Spectrometers utilizing efficient analytical techniques such as X-ray fluorescence (XRF) help mining laboratories determine mineralogy and phase composition of geological materials so mining operators can make faster decisions. Our XRF analyzers help you to better understand the composition of your raw materials, ore bodies, enriched minerals and processed products, and give you more control over downstream production processes. Do you want to enhance the value of your mineral extraction operations? Then join us to learn more about precise elemental analysis of mineralogical samples.

Didier Bonvin is a 1984 graduate in Materials Science from the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. He shortly after joined ARL (Applied Research Laboratories) in their headquarters in Ecublens, Switzerland where he started as head of Quality Assurance for XRF. In 1990, he was named XRF Product Manager responsible for XRF instruments at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Ecublens, Switzerland. In 1995, he started managing the Integrated XRF-XRD instruments as well. In 2009, he took on the additional responsibility of the Energy Dispersive XRF. Since 2022, he is Product Application Manager for the XRF portfolio of spectrometers.
