Emerging infectious diseases caused by zoonotic transmission of pathogens continue to pose a great concern to global health and the global economy. Having a deep understanding of virus life cycle and host response is critical in helping to prevent or mitigate future virus crisis events.
In this poster and application note, we show:
- How mid throughput gene expression analysis of several SARS-CoV-2 -associated genes involved in virus life cycle and host response can be used to understand the basis of disease pathogenesis in SARS-CoV-2 infection
- Workflow efficiency utilizing prespotted TaqMan array plates (using predesigned TaqMan Assays) to perform gene expression analysis
- How this approach can be widely applied to other infectious disease research to gain deep genomic insights into the disease process given the depth and flexibility of TaqMan real-time PCR solutions
