For regulated labs, optional SciVault 2 Software for NanoDrop Ultra allows instrument use in a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant environment. This module, which no longer requires the use of a connected computer, helps to maintain user roles, the records required for user account access, audit trails, electronic signatures, automated data back-up, and more.
Onboard touchscreen interface. The ergonomic, standalone NanoDrop Ultra instruments offer onboard control via a high-definition, glove-compatible touchscreen.
Obtaining a sample concentration is just the beginning – calculating how much sample goes into your downstream reaction can be tedious. Use the built-in library of kits, or add your favorite, to let the software run the math for you. The qPCR recipe calculator suggest how to prepare the reaction based on your sample’s concentration.
Thermo Scientific Acclaro Sample Intelligence Technology software (included with NanoDrop Ultra spectrophotometers and fluorometers and NanoDrop Eight spectrophotometers) analyzes absorbance across the whole UV-Vis spectrum, not just wavelengths specific to nucleic acids and proteins. It then applies powerful chemometric algorithms to find and correct for contamination in your samples. You get more reliable downstream assay results and avoid potential rework with this efficient, breakthrough capability.
Next-generation quality assessment using Acclaro software
Chemometric algorithms allow NanoDrop instruments to identify and correct for specific contaminants, taking quality assessment to the next level.
Acclaro Sample Intelligence software can even use full-spectrum data to tease apart DNA from copurified RNA and calculate corrected DNA concentrations for samples of mammalian, plant, and bacteria origin.
Verify sample quality in seconds
Identify sample contaminants and obtain corrected concentration results
Identify contaminants that absorb in the analysis region

Or, when you want to work at your desk, you can use NanoDrop Ultra PC Control software to view and analyze your data or explore Acclaro support features on your PC. Then, when your results are ready, you can print directly or seamlessly transfer results to a PC or a connected Cloud platform using a USB, *Wi-Fi, or Ethernet connection.
Although all models in the NanoDrop Ultra family have the pioneering microvolume sample retention capability of our pedestal, the NanoDrop UltraC and NanoDrop UltraC FL instruments include a built-in cuvette capability. The cuvette position adds experimental flexibility and increases the dynamic range. Combining the pioneering sample-retention system with cuvette capability accommodates both low and high concentrations (0.2–27,500 ng/µL dsDNA and 0.006–820 mg/mL BSA).
Use cuvettes to measure dilute samples and optical density of bacterial cultures or to perform kinetics experiments. The cuvette position can be used with the arm up or down and includes temperature control and stirring features.

"The compactness of the instrument most definitely stands out from everything else. Well, a lot of things stand out about it but the compactness is the best part for me because coming from a lab where we don't have that much space we want more of it…” | "…the auto measure makes sampling faster, easier…I try to figure out the fastest way to read samples when I'm short on time. So I'll get one sample ready while one sample's reading. So I can just set it up, I don’t have to click a button to set GO, I just put it (the pedestal arm) back down and my next sample is ready. | "I tend to forget what the (purity) ratio should be. I have a rough idea of what the ratio with protein contamination should be...and this is very helpful to have that extra feature (educational animations) that will correct the concentration for you so what you think your DNA concentration is, is what (the) actual DNA concentration is. That's gonna save a lot of time.” |
