A new 200-Watt version of the innovative Thermo Scientific™ ARL™ OPTIM’X Wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (WDXRF) analyzer is now available.

The ARL OPTIM’X Series, general purpose high-resolution WDXRF spectrometers that perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of all types of solid and liquid materials, also includes a 50-Watt version. Both versions are available in preconfigured industry-specific packages and require no water or external cooling.

The new 200W ARL OPTIM’X enables lower limits of detection, two- to three-times faster analysis and higher sample throughput in a highly reliable instrument. Each instrument features an innovative goniometer – the SmartGonio™ – that can be configured to cover all elements from fluorine (F) to uranium (U) in sequential mode. For critical or less sensitive elements such as fluorine and sodium (Na), two fixed channels can be fitted alongside the SmartGonio to reduce total analysis time and obtain best possible performance.

The ARL OPTIM’X Series also features UCCO technology (Ultra Closely Coupled Optics), which enables the instruments to perform at levels as high as 2.5- to 4-times their nominal power. Temperature regulation of both the spectrometer and the crystals ensures outstanding stability and repeatability to comply with ASTM and ISO regulations. The compact instruments offer consistent performance without the need for water cooling, and powerful and user-friendly Thermo Scientific OXSAS software supports the spectrometer operation and data handling.
