Antibody Purification Using Protein A/G
Antibody purification involves isolation of antibody from serum (polyclonal antibody), ascites fluid, or from the culture supernatant of a hybridoma cell line (monoclonal antibody). Protein A/G is a recombinant protein expressed in Escherichia coli (50.5 kDa; 6 IgG binding sites) and is recommended for purifying polyclonal IgG from many species. The POROS™ MabCapture™ A/G Select Resin is a new product that can be scaled up for bioprocess applications.
We offer a wide selection of base supports and formats to purify antibodies using the Protein A/G ligand. Our portfolio is designed to meet small-scale (screening) up to large-scale (bioprocess) needs.
- Multiple formats—magnetic beads, loose resin, spin columns and kits, FPLC cartridges, and 96-well filter plates enable antibody purification from microgram to kilogram scales
- High performance—resins are designed to maximize protein yield and reduce background
- Economical—pricing is similar to or better than our leading competitors
