Antibody purification involves isolation of antibody from serum (polyclonal antibody), ascites fluid, or from the culture supernatant of a hybridoma cell line (monoclonal antibody). Protein G is a recombinant protein expressed in Escherichia coli (21.6 kDa; 2 IgG binding sites) and is recommended for purifying IgG from mouse, human, cow, goat, or sheep serum. The POROS™ MabCapture™ G Select Resin is a new product that can be scaled up for bioprocess applications.
