The HyPerforma Single-Use Bioreactor (S.U.B.) was designed for high performance, ease-of-use, and high-yield mammalian cell culture and microcarrier process results—all in a flexible solution that can be customized to your workflow and desired end goals.


Key performance of HyPerforma Single-Use Bioreactor

  • Ability to readily scale from small to large volumes—use in process development, clinical trials, and large-scale cGMP biomanufacturing
  • Plug-and-play setup and operation through standard disposable connectors, facilitating easy integration with most control platforms on the market
  • Minimized cleaning or sterilization (apart from traditional monitoring probes); helps reduce the risk of cross-contamination

HyPerforma bioreactor 5:1 turndown ratio vessel

The HyPerforma S.U.B. helps decrease additional bioreactors required for scale-up, as well as reduce footprint and cleanroom space requirements. Important features include:

  • Patented crossflow sparger technology for efficient cell culture at lower volumes
  • Drilled-hole sparger for effective stripping of CO2 and sufficient O2 delivery to cells
  • Lower probe cutouts on vessel for accurate sensing of pH, DO, and temperature
  • Bottom jacketed vessel for better heat transfer and temperature control at lower volumes
  • Considerable savings in CAPEX and OPEX

Please note that the HyPerforma S.U.B. is also available with a 2:1 turndown ratio. 

Bioprocessing containers (BPCs) specific for single-use bioreactor systems

The single-use bioreactor bag—featuring the BioTitan Retention device—is the single-use consumable bag required for use with the bioreactor hardware; it is supplied sterile and ready-to-use and comes complete with the agitator (impeller) assembly, spargers, vent filter, sensor ports and/or sensors, and line sets for media, supplements, and harvest.

The single-use bioreactor bag does not require any facility hook-ups for sterilization or cleaning. A key element of the design is the single-use impeller with bearing/seal assembly that couples directly to the external mixer drive.
