Gibco® Rabbit serum is collected from animals typically six months old or younger. It is processed, and manufactured in the United States. Each lot of rabbit serum is tested for its ability to support the growth of Sp2/O-Ag14 (murine myeloma) cells in control medium containing the test lot of serum. Results are compared to parallel results obtained using control growth medium containing a previously characterized reference serum.

Common Uses

  • Combine with BSA to use as a blocking serum in immunocytochemistry1 and immunohistochemistry2.
