Applied Biosystems TaqMan Fast Advanced Master Mix provides excellent performance with superior sensitivity, accuracy, dynamic range, and specificity compared to standard mixes in standard mode. This next-generation master mix employs our novel AmpliTaq Fast DNA Polymerase, giving you stability at room temperature for up to 72 hours. Additionally, this master mix offers reduced run times, is optimized for multiplexing, and is ideal for any gene expression experiment or quantitative analysis, including pathogen detection, viral load quantitation, microRNA quantification, and microarray verification.

 

TaqMan Fast Advanced Master Mix can be used with any DNA target, including complementary DNA (cDNA) or genomic DNA (gDNA). It can also be used in the second step of a two-step real-time RT-PCR protocol for RNA quantitation experiments. A cDNA template can be generated from RNA using one of our reverse transcription kits prior to real-time PCR.

The enhanced stability of TaqMan Fast Advanced Master Mix assures users of high-throughput liquid handling systems that the results on the first plate will mimic those of the last plate. It also adds overall convenience to your workflow, as you no longer need to run your plates immediately upon assembly.

This B2M TaqMan gene expression assay was run upon assembly (time 0) (A) and after 72 hr of incubation at 30°C (B). The results after 72 hr show excellent PCR efficiency, R2 values, and Ct when compared to time 0.

High PCR efficiency in both simplex and duplex

For added confidence in the results in every well, TaqMan Fast Advanced Master Mix has been designed to help deliver accurate results for duplex reactions using an internal positive control (IPC).

TaqMan Fast Advanced Master Mix is optimized for multiplexing with exogenous or endogenous controls

Results are shown for ß-actin (gene name ACTB), which was serially diluted and amplified in single-target reactions and duplex reactions. The duplex reactions include the single-target ACTB and either a constant quantity of exogenous target (Figure A) or a relative quantity of endogenous target (Figure B). Orange simplex data points are almost hidden behind the green duplex data points, confirming nearly identical results in both modes.
