lncRNA – Discover their classification and functional mechanisms.

Long, non-coding RNAs (lncRNA) are strands 200 nt or greater that have function, but do not actually code for proteins. At one time, they were considered to be few and exotic, but there is growing evidence that they are numerous (perhaps more numerous than protein-coding RNAs) and may play a more general role in transcriptional regulation. This webinar provides a general overview of lncRNA, along with a discussion of their potential impact in human biology.

Beyond the limits with digital PCR—high precision in copy number variation

In this webinar, you will learn about how digital PCR brings you beyond the limits of real-time PCR for copy number variation analysis.  Copy number variation, a major cause of structural variation in the genome, plays an important role in human disease. Determination of copy number variation requires both precision and accuracy. Real-time PCR is commonly used to validate copy number variation in populations. However, it may require many replicates to get the precision needed. Digital PCR allows you to go beyond the limits of real-time PCR. With the QuantStudio™ 3D Digital PCR System, a simple and affordable digital PCR platform, obtaining precise and accurate absolute quantification for your nucleic acid targets is absolutely attainable.
