Extra validation for human serum and plasma samples
Invitrogen ProcartaPlex Platinum panels and kits are designed to overcome matrix effects from serum and plasma samples, thereby improving spike- and dilution-recovery results. Serum and plasma samples are complex matrixes with many components. This complexity can cause the so called matrix effect which can impact the readout of many cytokines (low spike recovery and the dilution linearity).
We developed matrix type specific sample diluents to overcome these matrix and multiplex effects, achieving high performance specifications comparable to those of traditional ELISA. These newly developed surrogate matrices for dilution of serum or plasma samples are included in ProcartaPlex Platinum kits, which produce spike- and dilution-recovery results of 70–130%.

Platinum simplex kits
ProcartaPlex platinum simplex kits are magnetic bead sets used to detect individual analytes. They are designed to enable the addition of targets to multiplex panels or the combination of individual platinum simplex kits to produce custom panels. A corresponding basic kit is required when combining simplex kits separate from any multiplex panel.
