Sequencing Newsletter

2018, Issue 25

Welcome to the first issue of Sequencing Newsletter for 2018.

In each issue, we will cover different research areas, providing you with the tools you need to obtain meaningful results in the most efficient way possible.

So why Sequencing Newsletter, you ask? It’s to address an assumption that you are aware of everything we have to offer. With over 100,000 products available, of course you aren’t. From local events, to our educational videos and resources for your research and our top products, we hope to help you to find the answers you are looking for.

SeqStudio Sanger sequencing aids translational research

Dr. Luca Quagliata, Sr. Director at the University Hospital of Basel, discusses how Sanger sequencing with the Applied Biosystems SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer performs a valuable and readily identifiable role in translational research. "For example,” he says, “what is the question that needs to be answered? How big is the sample itself?” According to Quagliata, if researchers are only interested in a small number of genes, or if the starting sample size is small, then Sanger is the best method.
