High-Performance Computing for 5500 Series SOLiD™ Data Analysis
The LifeScope™ Cluster (Figure 1) is a 4-node/48-core compute cluster with 2.66 GHz Intel Xeon X5650 processors, 24 Gigabytes (GB) of RAM per node, and an exceptionally fast internal network for optimized mapping and tertiary analysis of 5500 Series SOLiD™ data. With approx. 9.5 Terabytes (TB) of usable storage, the entry-level model LifeScope™ Cluster is capable of processing large workload queues and running analyses in parallel. Scyld ClusterWare cluster management software, with the new Insight interface, helps maintain compute efficiency. The LifeScope™ Cluster is a convenient 24U (1.2m high) form factor, so it can be used in a laboratory setting as well as in a data center.
Integrated and Read to Go
Every LifeScope™ Cluster comes with LifeScope™ Genomic Analysis Software pre-installed and ready for licensing. In addition, every cluster contains the necessary reference and other data to run the many genomic analyses enabled by the LifeScope™ software. Finally, every cluster is tested prior to shipping to ensure maximum performance and reliability, so you can be confident that this high-performance solution will work out-of-the-box and as soon as you need it.
Scalable for Your Long-Term Needs
The LifeScope™ Cluster not only has the necessary compute specifications to run LifeScope™ Software and manage compute-intensive workloads, it also has the capacity to integrate with existing computing and storage infrastructures. From the entry-level model, you can scale system performance by expanding up to 144 compute cores across 12 nodes, with up to 1.1 TB RAM per node. For your growing storage and archiving needs, you can easily expand the cluster’s local storage up 108TB total memory.
