That’s the vision behind Ion AmpliSeq HD technology, a new library amplification technology for Ion Torrent next-generation sequencing (NGS) that gives you the power to design your own gene panels and find variants with very low limits of detection—down to 0.1% for cell-free DNA samples. Use it to find low-frequency alleles in circulating tumor DNA, within DNA or RNA samples extracted from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue, or to find rare microbial species or resistant strains.
