We've now made it easier to shop one, simplified portfolio on thermofisher.com. To continue ordering our products and taking advantage of all of your account benefits, you will need to create a new account. To make this transition as easy as possible, we've provided the resources below.
Follow the instructions below to register for an online account:
Sign up for a thermofisher.com account by selecting “Create Account” from the Sign-In drop-down menu.

If you’re interested in purchasing on thermofisher.com, you’ll have the opportunity to link to your institution’s account at this point. By linking your account, you can access account-specific pricing, online quotes, and place orders.
Note: Once you have submitted your institution’s account information, you can place an order. All orders will be processed once the linkage is complete and the account upgrade activated. This process will be completed by a Thermo Fisher care representative within 48 hours.

In 2021, we consolidated the Acros Organics, Alfa Aesar, and Maybridge brands under one single brand—Thermo Scientific™ Chemicals. This means that you can now search and shop over 80,000 chemical products on thermofisher.com/chemicals. In August 2023, acros.com and alfa.com were retired at which point are no longer available for purchase on these websites.
Can I continue to use my alfa.com or acros.com account number to order products on thermofisher.com?
No, you will need to register for an account on thermofisher.com. Please note: In addition to registering for a new account you will need to link your individual account to your institution’s account before you can order online.
Once your account is activated, you can:
- Check product availability
- View account -specific pricing
- Get online quotes
- Purchase products and track orders
- Get access to tools and resources
- Earn rewards
Will my alfa.com or acros.com account information be transferred to my new thermofisher.com account?
No, account information will not be transferred. You will need to register for a new thermofisher.com account to purchase products. Historical alfa.com and acros.com orders can be obtained by contacting our customer service group following the country specific Customer Care information found at the bottom of this FAQ section.
There will not be any changes to product composition, technical specifications, or product source. There will be some changes to product packaging—most caps will be changing to red and all labels will be updated with Thermo Scientific Chemicals branding.
Overall, our original product codes will remain the same. With the launch of our Thermo Scientific Chemicals on thermofisher.com, there may be small formatting differences from products previously purchased on alfa.com or acros.com.
While there are no changes in the handling or shipping of our products, there may be some shipment carrier differences.
Document layouts will change slightly to reflect Thermo Scientific branding. The content and technical details of our product documents are not changing.
Products available for purchase on thermofisher.com will include SDS and CoAs.
